Well done. I'll leave my response up, but I'll admit that the Massachusetts/Oklahoma example is a bad one to make the case that Trump was the populist in this election and Harris was a vote for the conservative "no change" position.

Again, I voted for Harris. I am disgusted with her and the Democrats for backing Israel.
It was not an OVERLOOKABLE decision. They intentionally did it. When someone tells you who they are, believe them. Impeccable? This was low hanging fruit for Harris and she caved to expediency. Unless she really believes Israel should eliminate Palestinians, which again, isn't rocking my world.
The Democrat party needs to be dismantled or radically restructured. It has lost its moral compass.

Only the swing states count, the so called "battleground" states. If you live in a Alabama, your state is voting Trump. If you live in Massachusetts, your state is voting Kamala.
In every swing state, Trump has either closed the gap if he was behind, or broadened the lead if he was ahead.
I'm not saying it's over, or that there can't be surprises, but it looks like the Democrats have failed to run a campaign that the American public found compelling.
Saying the public is stupid or racist or whatever doesn't cover it. The bottom line is the Democrats haven't put forth a plan or made a case that they can deal quickly with the problems in America.
They have made announcements about student loan plans and forgiveness that were blocked, making them look unorganized and ineffective. They lost abortion rights. They never make progress on healthcare or taxes on the wealthy.
I want to win. I think we should fight surer battles, and avoid battles that will lose. Blaming Republicans for stopping us just makes them seem stronger than us. Let's stop making excuses and go on the offensive. No more, "Well don't vote for HIM, he's so dumb!"

A fun show I hadn't heard of, my kids 7-13 love it, goofy but not laugh-out-loud like Bluey. Very tolerable for adults as well.

Is it weird that there's no difference between a successful iPhone message to an Android, and a message to an iPhone user who has blocked you.
When you send a message to someone who has blocked you on iPhone, you get a green bubble. Same as you get when you text an Android user successfully.

It just seems like it would be a really cool thing to have gills and be able to populate the oceans in the same way we populate the land. We could have houses and shops and vehicles, andgo on walks/swims and just kind of live underwater.

I'll go first. Mine is the instant knockout drug. Like Dexter's intramuscular injection that causes someone to immediately lose consciousness. Or in the movie Split where there's the aerosol spray in your face that makes you instantly unconscious. Or pretty much any time someone uses chloroform.
How do folks here handle the feeling that they're just waiting, not serving a purpose, and being a burden on their family as well.
I wake up, I eat, I read a little, I go back to sleep. I wake up, I eat, I read a little, watch a show with my wife, go back to sleep. I try not to eat more than 1500 calories because my activity level is so low I'll get fat if I go above that.
What's the end game here?

I can't work. I need to sleep like 14 hours a day. I'm exhausted all the time. I get fatigued after about 5 to 10 minutes worth of any labor, including things like going upstairs or loading a dishwasher. My hands shake all the time, to where I can almost not clip my own fingernails anymore.
I work a job for years and retired from it there's plenty of money coming in. I just find myself in a place now where this chronic, undefined illness has taken over my life.
Time's gone mad on my laptop? Turned off internet time, set it manually, it changed it back to "mad time."
I don't know the problem, but my laptop consistently displays the wrong time. Right now it is telling me that the time in UTC is 2315 when it's actually 1815. The only way for me to get the correct time to show on my laptop is to set my time zone to Hawaii (I live in the central).
Anybody know what the hell is going on?
SOLVED!
I was setting up an alternate NTP client as suggested by @[email protected] in their response, after trying their other suggestions in order, and the command kept rejecting because the Windows Time Service wasn't running.
So I opened services.msc and sure enough windows time services is set to manual and not running. So I said it to automatic and ran it, restarted the computer for good measure.
And voila, the correct UTC time, the correct local time, everything fixed.
This article is 10 years old, but my wife's iPhone 12 just got paid off and the performance on it hit the brakes overnight. Same with my son's iPhone 11. Both working last month. Dogs now.
