What are peoples thoughts on games requiring always online? How does it affect your enjoyment of those games?
  • Well for ladder style games, it is necessary. Take a look at diablo 3 leaderboard on switch. Just absolutely full of hackers/exploiters/ whatever you want to call them because you can play offline.

That being said, diablo should ALWAYS have an offline mode available as well as an online mode. That is how it was in diablo 2 and I miss it.

  • Looking for old 90s-00s RPGs and other old PC games
  • Interestingly enough, I would say breath of the wild. I thought it was only okay. I didn't love the powers, the world felt big but empty, idk just didn't fully click with me.

I feel like totk has everything I was missing in botw. Could be because I didn't really watch any promotional materials and had lower expectations, but totk blew me away.

  • Subreddits you are going to miss?
  • I'll miss all my niche gaming subreddits. Path of exile, incremental games, and I even liked keeping an eye on the gacha gaming subreddit. So many more to mention like r/gamedeals, patientgamers, many more individual game subreddits.

  • How many steam deck folks are here and what are you playing?
  • Vampire survivors and all the other games in the "bullet heaven" genre play great. Stardew and every farming style top of game plays great. Some deck builders play great. Action games like hollow knight and Steamworld games. Lots of options.
