  • More work mates have fallen ill it seems. This time even the higher ups. Appears that I am the highest ranking person in my group today and have been made delegate at a upper management meeting.

Thankfully I'm not speaking or presenting, and notes will be available after BUT my presence is required because of reasons.

    Yay, I guess.

  • I've heard they can be shit. So far they've been okay mostly for us. Hopefully I won't have to lean on them for anything.

  • Yeah for real. The CFMEU is just the most prolific and loud. I'm with CPSU and they're kind of a toothless dog, but do help out when needed.

  • Pushback from union members would be something, but unfortunately there was very visible intimidation from Setka's supporters. The more I look at our Federal 3 year terms the more I appreciate it. Also having 8-10 weeks for an election is perfect.

  • In summary, years of corruption and criminal infiltration on work sites are finally coming to light and heads are rolling.

  • My biggest concern about this whole saga is how long it's taken to get to this point. I worked on CFMEU sites for a decade or so (non union role) and thought it was bad then. Like absolutely transparent corruption and no one seemed to care.

Also disappointing that unions are meant to protect workers against shit conditions and bad management. Now they're becoming the monster they were suppose to slay.

The cultist mentality is pretty messed up too. Glad it's being taken care of, but I don't trust either gov party to act as administrators.

  • This whole CFMEU saga is equally entertaining and concerning.

  • Cousins in Sunbury had it bad like 20 minutes before it hit us. I think we were on the edge of the clouds and they got the centre.

  • Despite being directly the in projected storm path, we were spared the brunt of it.

Wind and rain for about 15 minutes and then some small hail.

Overall, not the worst we've had.

  • Spent half the day in the garden. Mowing, weeding, fertilising, whippering and snippering, pruning and so on and so forth.

Had a nap, a kebab for lunch and Viet Spicy beef noodle soup for dinner

Lounging with some drinks and watching a flick with the fam (may have puffed some magic herb too)

    Life good

  • I've cried watching something since but bawling my eyes out at a superhero movie was something I wasn't going to predict
