Guild Wars 2. The base game is free, and is an absolute blast. The community is very friendly and helpful, overall a great experience.

Looks like a giant house spider, Eratigena atrica.

They're completely harmless, the males do wander around looking for female, so it's not unusual to see them during the day.

On a side note, they're fast as all hell, fastest spider on land, so they can make you freak out when they zoom across a room at full speed.
