The Pentagon Wants to Spend $141 Billion on a Doomsday Machine
  • Shame that Russia has created an environment where something like this is necessary. Seemed like things were deescalating before they went full imperialist and killing civilians en masse to steal their land and country.

  • Nato summit: Ukraine on 'irreversible path' to membership
  • Anyone who has experienced the horrors of the USSR or Russia knows appeasing them or sympathetic to nonsense like "why they invaded" as if their reason was anything beyond narcissistic theft, murder, and imperialism is either ignorant or malicious.

Please look into Soviet history, its involvement in genocide, its displacement of people, its alignment with the Nazis at the beginning of WW2, its subjevation and murder of millions of central and Eastern European countries. Normal decent people do not defend Russia.

  • NATO getting tough on China for backing Russia's war effort
  • Chinese people do compete for basic necessities though; stores aren't passing out goods for free and rent/mortgages are very real.

Is there something you are familiar with that they don't have to pay for? I suppose health care and public education, but that's not particularly unique to China.

  • Commentary: Trying to kill Chinese tech only makes it stronger
  • Except if you ignore China's illegal imperialist actions in the South China sea, their constant threatening of Taiwanese lives, their systematic suppression of journalists and free speech, the extremely strict and HEAVILY biased access to their markets (yet they expect unrestricted access to American markets...), lack of respect for intellectual property laws, propping up north Korea, the continued support of Russias illegal war in Ukraine, etc...

Chinese people are incredibly hard working, smart, and I also genuinely want a world where we're friends. Unfortunately China's actions do not create an environment where this is possible. Perhaps they will also want to be friends and stop these actions. I guess we'll see.

  • There is no denying the legacy of non-white racism and genocide against native Americans and its horrible impact continues today. Racism is a real problem that hasn't gone away and should not be ignored.

Maybe I'm being an idealist, but when I see use of language from OP making it seem like theres some coordinated white people scheme to only benefit white people, it seems like a straw man argument made to demonize one specific race. I feel like we're all getting pretty damn well shafted these days and we can work together to improve the lives of people in marginalized and underserved communities.

  • A cool guide Types of plugs in the world
  • They are extremely sturdy and safe, but they are too large and unwieldy. Infinitely better than the schuko plug though. No idea what kind of insane people thought a circular plug that has to be plugged in one direction a good idea. Always fun to spin around your plug hoping your prongs are lined up.
