WIP Wednesday

Making good progress on Philly! I have made it to the right edge of the pattern. 2 over 1 on 18 count Aida.

Finish Friday!
  • I look forward to seeing those cities! Your Miyazaki pattern is looking wonderful also!

I also got my next cities; Seattle, Boston, Philly and Seoul. (I might have been overly excited haha) Just waiting on supplies to arrive now.

  • Finish Friday!
  • Thank you but I didn't add to the pattern. It comes in 3 sizes no background, square with background, and then this size with more background. I wish I could take credit for adding all of that!

  • Finish Friday!
  • I'll definitely share pictures! All the other cities I want to do have different color pallets so something neutral. I was thinking just a simple black frame with white mat. I also don't want the frame to distract too much.

  • Finish Friday!

No WIP Wednesday for me this week because I have a finish for now! I love how this turned out! I plan on stitching several more cities from this shop and then ideally frame them all the same. So, on to the next project until its time to FFO this.

    WIP Wednesday!

It's still half in the qsnap here so it wouldn't lay flat. If all goes to plan I think it will be finished in a couple of weeks. 2 over 1 on 18 count.

    WIP Wednesday!

I'm getting so close to the bottom of the pattern! There's only about 20 more rows under the gazebo.

    WIP Wednesday!

I can't put this down. I'm having so much fun stitching this. The halfway point is the top of the duck's head. I'm so close to halfway!

    I'm Back for WIP Wednesday!

Hi All! Sorry I missed the last couple of weeks. Life got in the way a bit. This is really only like a week and a half of progress. I had a week of basically no stitching time. I am so close to the halfway point! 2 over 1 on 18 count.

    Clouds in Progress (WIP Wednesday)

I'm really enjoying this project. I'm having a hard time putting it down and dong other stuff. I'm also loving the higher count fabric.

    WIP Wednesday
  • The number of patterns I have saved is more than I could do in my lifetime. It's probably more than 2 lifetimes worth of patterns. I really shouldn't be allowed to even look at patterns anymore. haha

  • WIP Wednesday
  • That's fair! It's going to take more that one post to change the tide. I'll see if I can come up with something better for next week!

I am also a fan of large blocks of color as evident from my posts. Knowing that not every stitch needs to be perfect like on a sampler or something like that helps a lot. I'm still a very new stitcher and still learning how to keep things neat what better way to practice then with some large blocks!

  • WIP Wednesday
  • Beautiful! Are you going to finish it as a pillow? Looking forward to seeing it finished! I haven't done any specialty stitches. They scare me a bit. I have one almost FO that just needs the whiskers backstitched in and I've been putting it off for months. I should just do it. No time like now to learn.

Edit: Loving the grime guard so far. My hand get sweaty and it helps prevent that. I don't feel like I need to wash my hands several times in a long stitch session.

  • WIP Wednesday

Seems the fun WIP Wednesday names didn't take off so back to the regular post names.

With last week's finish I got to start my new project! I'm super excited for this project. Trying out my Q-snaps and grime guard for the first time also. It's full coverage and about 20k stitches. I'm doing 2 over 1 on 18 count Aida.

I'll get back to the Mondrian project at some point.

    Late Night Finish!

I stayed up late just to finish this! I didn't have much to go but it was confetti so it took a bit longer than expected. I love how it turned out. Can't wait to wash and finish it 👽

EDIT: Sorry for the delay in responding to comments. The Lemmy update messed with my app.

I also forgot to post the pattern. It can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1054974824/i-want-to-believe-discovery-star-trek

When I WIP, you WIP, we WIP Wednesday

Life got in the way last week and I didn't make as much progress as I hoped but I got a new needle minder so I have that going for me.

I got all the supplies for my next project but I can't start it until this is finished. I'm super excited to start my next one.

    WIP Wednesday!

Still no progress on my other WIP. However I'm making good progress on this one. The bottom was getting a bit tedious so I moved to the top. Other than a few confetti stitches and finishing the right side of the "O" the phrase is complete.

    WIP Wednesday!

No progress on my other project but this one is coming along nicely. This fabric is really stiff making it hard to get the hoop marks out.

    WIPs Wednesday!

Not as much progress on my main project this week since I made that bookmark. Also, started a new project that I think is going to be a lot of fun to stitch.

    FO!

I made a bookmark for my mom for her bday. I made lots of adjustments to colors and I messed up the count in one spot but I feel like you can't tell.

I'm saving the thin right blank spot for a possible pop of red like @Alteon suggested last week.
