  • I knew of "smart ass", but "smart balls" sounds nice for sure too!

  • CBT
  • How about cocky behavior therapy?

  • Taken in Montréal by me
  • Aw thanks so much for your kind words. It was indeed pretty close to the river!! Here's the point on the map

Here's another shot of the same building

  • Crazy talk!! Lovely picture. I can confirm this 100% looks like a McGill picnic table 😁 thanks for the post Ricky

  • Squirrels sleeping in their nest
  • So cuddly! 😍

  • tag yourself (I'm basic)
  • I'm a vagina with a pH of 4

  • Been practicing fermenting for the past year. This is my third attempt and I've gotten better
  • Soooo bottled water instead of tap to make a brine? Assuming the former has no chlorine while the latter does

  • Calligraphy
  • Absolutely!

  • Calligraphy
  • For those who didn't get it, it does actually say minimum !

Source : I dabbled in calligraphy; it's a fun word to write out (although you can make it more legible with proper spacing between letters so it doesn't look like a bunch of lines)

  • You will certainly not regret
  • You just dark roasted yourself

  • I'd rather they live off unsalted raw almonds I feed them then off the open trashcans available on the McGill campus, and the less nutrient dense food other people will feed them like peanuts or whatever they have on hand. It is indeed illegal though, you're right on that point.

Basically I think you're right that human interfering with wild life can be harmful to said wildlife, and I don't think that applies to this case until the McGill administration stops all people from feeding them (there are a lot of others) and closes their open trashcans; so that wildlife can be self sufficient again.

Also do you really think the best thing you can do for wildlife is going after people feeding city squirrels on the internet? Don't you think some other actions are a little more destructive to wildlife? Maybe go after government allowing companies to drain swamps to build fancy houses or some other shit and cut my squirrel feeding ass some slack.

PS I won't reply any further as I'm not interested in debating online via comments, it tends to be very unproductive and draining.

  • Thanks for your curiosity :D Thankfully she has a very recognizable feature which is her shorter tail. I assume she lost part of it in a fight or something. I once tried to start telling apart the others but it's really hard haha, so many of them on the campus. A few have distinctive faces but that's it.

The claws aren't a problem for now (winter) since I'm always wearing a jacket. I taught her to climbing on my arm directly so shorts won't be an issue, but I'll have to figure something for summer !

Video of her jumping on my arm (she knows by now!)

My favorite squirrel buddy and me. She's definitely the most friendly and gentle of the bunch.

  • Hey there, thanks for taking time to write here about your life, thoughts and feelings. I'm sorry to hear things are incredibly tough right now.

This book (The Happiness Trap) was recommended to me by my therapist, and I found the practices in there to be very helpful for me (depression). Here's a free online version.

Among other things, it helped me see my thoughts for what they are: just thoughts. And to not always listen to them. To choose which thoughts I think are helpful, and just acknowledge and then ignore the rest of them ( I was talking down to myself a lot too).

Another thing I got better at with the help of the book is to act according to my values, even if something is unpleasant in the short term (simple exemple : exercise because I value health).

Another ressource that helped me greatly are free and community led gatherings to talk about mental health (and in my case addiction). I used to attend the ones organised by DBSA, here's the link :

    Best of luck. Virtual hug.

Note the egg isn't quite raw as it should cook a little from the heat of the rice.

Since I don't quite like super goey eggs, I usually pour the whisked egg in the warm pan I reheated the rice in (heat off), and stir quickly before serving for it not turn into scrambled egg.

This squirrel is my favorite, she's super friendly and easily recognizable by her short tail
