WB’s ‘Ready Player One’ Blockchain, VR, AR, AI ‘Readyverse’ Will Of Course Be A Disaster
  • I agree. I couldn't get through the first 10 pages.

Since I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else in the comments, I thought I'd leave this here: https://372pages.com/episode-0-a-book-were-probably-going-to-hate

"372 Pages We'll Never Get Back" is a podcast where Mike Nelson (MST3K, Rifftrax) and Conor Lastoka (Rifftrax) read and review books they're "pretty sure they're going to hate". RP1 is the first book & source of the podcast title, since it's 372 pages. It's like Mystery Science Theater 3000 for books and it is hilarious, I highly recommend.

  • What are your favorite podcasts?
  • I'm a little late to the party here, but I don't see it mentioned already so I have to recommend "372 Pages We'll Never Get Back". Mike Nelson (MST3K, Rifftrax) and Conor Lastoka (Rifftrax) give really detailed reviews of "books they expect not to like", aka badly-written books. Think Mystery Science Theater 3000, but with books. They're on episode 152 and the episodes run ~2 hours. Great for long car rides.

  • LEM-ST3K beginnings 1 - Favourite episode?
  • Final Sacrifice & Space Mutiny are at the top of my list, but I've rewatched them so many times I can just about recite them line for line from memory. Same with Mitchell & Sidehackers.

I've started more carefully watching episodes that I may have originally written off as boring or too awful to bear & I keep discovering new hilarious riffs that I missed on the first or second watch. So I'm discovering new favorites as I go. e.g. I watched Lost Continent earlier today & was in tears.
