Threads Has Lost More Than 80% of Its Daily Active Users
  • The following feed is there now but kind of half baked. It only shows as an option when you click the home icon in the bottom left or the Threads icon located top middle. Then you can switch over to it.

  • [iOS 17DB3] Bug - Fitness widget blank until interacted with
  • Yep! This is happening to my fitness widget, wallet and sleep. But isn't happening to the TV widget, reminders and a few third party widgets I have. I'm on 14 Pro Max.

  • [iOS 17 DB3] Workaround for no iMessage notifications
  • That's interesting that the mute switch trick works for you. I've been experiencing this and keep sound on all the time.

  • iOS 17 beta 3 released
  • So far 9to5Mac has noticed song credits in Apple Music. I’m downloading the beta right now myself.

  • Disable Left/Right swipes?
  • Would love this on Memmy. I used this on Apollo to make it super easy to go back and forward between pages.

  • Sync for Reddit is dead
  • Thanks. Just registered!

  • Sync for Reddit is dead
  • Do you happen to know what some of the other apps are that are switching to Lemmy?

  • Apple Seeds Second Betas of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 to Developers
  • Stability has been decent for me on beta 1 and so far on 2. No crashes really. My 14 pro max has been getting a little warm from time to time on beta 1. Not sure what’s causing it. Battery life took a hit on beta 1 for me but was expecting it.

  • Apollo’s Christian Selig explains his fight with Reddit — and why users revolted
  • Great read! Article states that the full conversation will be on Wednesday’s episode of The Vergecast. Will definitely be tuning in.

  • Anyone else have lots of trouble with spam on iOS?
  • When I first switched to an iPhone the spam calls were crazy. I downloaded spam filter apps for my carrier and it’s helped so much it seems. I have a line on AT&T Prepaid and one on Verizon. Downloaded AT&T Active Armor for my AT&T line and the spam calls have dropped significantly. Not sure if that is why or maybe a coincidence.

  • [iOS 17 DB1] Siri Back to Back requests
  • Same. That doesn’t work for me either. It seems like the context of the first request is lost.

  • [iOS 17 DB1] Siri Back to Back requests
  • For me it works depending on what the first command was. If I say "Siri, open messages" it will just open the app and Siri goes away. However, if I say "Siri, turn on the lights" the lights turn on and Siri continues listening for the next command for a few seconds.

  • GM, like Ford, will collaborate with Tesla to share Tesla's fast-charging EV network
  • With GM now on board I'm pretty sure this will cause a ripple effect and more automakers will join. Some sooner than others. The supercharger network has proven to be reliable for Teslas. I think it's a good thing all around. However, we won't truly know how well Ford and GM vehicles will integrate with superchargers until owners pull up and plug in. I have my fingers crossed that Volvo/Polestar is next!

  • Just found this community! What are you currently and/or looking to drive?
  • I currently drive a Ford Focus ST, and I have a pre order in for the Volvo EX30. It looks great for my needs and is the closest to my ideal EV so far available in the US. Can’t wait for it!

  • Final Cut Pro to be Include on Apple Vision Pro
  • This actually never crossed my mind that FCP could also be a native app for Vision Pro. I was only thinking it would be available using it as a display for Mac. Cant wait to see it in action now!

  • Apple TV+ content is very good in 2023
  • I watched a decent amount of TV+ content in 2022 and continuing now in 2023. Silo is awesome, and Platonic is on my list. Will be starting that one very soon.
