What are your favourite coffee table 2p games?
  • I’d echo the thought of those 2 player kosmo games being perfect or even ones that come in that box size. Mandala, Patchwork, Lost Cities, Battleline, Jaipur and Targi are some of our favorite 2 player only games. There are plenty of multiplayer games that play best at 2 or are least still great.

BoardGameGeek.com has lots of lists for 2 player games by weight I’d recommend checking out.

  • Carcassonne is great. Played a lot with my wife. We would decide before hand if we wanted to play aggressive or casual, it can be a mean game if you make it.

Kahuna is also really fun, but if you don’t want confrontation then it might not be an ideal choice.

  • Trump election conspiracist Tina Peters sentenced to 9 years in prison by Colorado judge
  • What Tina Peters did is clearly immoral. She tampered with voting equipment and spread lies about election fraud, which directly undermines trust in democracy. I don’t care if she thought she was doing the right thing. Breaking laws meant to protect elections is not just wrong, it’s dangerous.

  • Trump election conspiracist Tina Peters sentenced to 9 years in prison by Colorado judge
  • Get a grip. It’s absolutely crazy to compare Tina Peters to MLK Jr., Rosa Parks, or Gandhi. These people fought against deep systemic injustice, risking their lives for civil rights and freedom. Peters’ actions, spreading lies tied to election denial and abuse of power, don’t come close to that level of sacrifice or historical importance. Trying to equate the two is a huge stretch and undermines the legacy of true leaders who changed the world for the better.

  • New York Times Editorial Board: The Only Patriotic Choice for President
  • I get what you’re saying and agree, but patriotism doesn’t inherently lead to xenophobia. It can coexist with openness, respect for diversity, and global cooperation.

Patriotism is defined as love for one’s country, a sense of pride in its culture, values, and history, and a desire to contribute to its well-being. In its positive form, patriotism encourages civic responsibility, unity, and respect for a nation’s traditions without hostility toward others.

Of course in some cases it can lead to ultra-nationalism, but it doesn’t have to.

  • Because that would be silly
  • I just assumed she meant her adopted mother, Mrs. Bail Organa. Or did I miss something here?

Edit: nevermind, just looked it up and Breha died on Alderaan when the Death Star blew it up. Lame.

  • Trump’s Latest Scheme to Beat Harris May Have Crossed Legal Lines
  • I appreciate your willingness to correct the record.

As for the aid to Israel, I agree that the nature of the assistance and how it's used is a critical issue. I completely agree with your points and now understand your usage of “blank check”.

  • Trump’s Latest Scheme to Beat Harris May Have Crossed Legal Lines
  • First of all, there aren’t any blank checks. Foreign aid isn’t a lump sum of money just given to a country. We allocate it to a spending purse and they can choose to spend it on specific items the US agrees upon, which is usually weapons. We don’t just give them cash.

Second, which debt? The US hasn’t issued any debt to Ukraine since the war started, except for possibly private companies.

I agree with your sentiment, just not the facts.

  • ‘One and done’: Michael Phelps says dopers should be given lifetime ban
  • Nowhere in that article does it mention that he wants them banned, but go ahead and tell me I’m wrong somehow because level playing field equals being banned.

It sounds like he didn’t have an answer but thinks there should be some kind of system in include everyone.

Based on the first part of your comment I’m sure your response will be well thought out and free from derogatory terms.

  • Traveling this summer? Maybe don’t let the airport scan your face.
  • I refuse to go through the body scanners, but the last time I went through the airport there wasn’t anyone trying to opt-out. I seriously doubt if the radiation perv scanner doesn’t get people to do anything, this won’t either.

  • Some men...
  • Just goes to show how amazing PBS actually is. Most of the people listed on the shirt or in the comments had some kind of an affiliation with PBS. Support your local stations!
