How does one feel relaxed while reading GOT?
Rule number 1 reads loud an clear. Keep it Cozy, no biggitry.
I say federate, and anyone violating that rule can have their comment delete with a warning. If it persists, ban the user. If this becomes an overwhelming issue, defederate.
(I'm biased as I think defederation breaks lemmy into smaller, weaker, and more boring communities).
I think a number of people like to troll just a little at least, but I don't think most people make it their whole persona. I suspect we may get some trolls who would genuinely like a community about books.
Maybe I'm an optimist, but I think it's at least worth a try.
I think that's a retarded, click-baity title for the article. Corporate greed, and energy consumption in the name of economic progress is clearly the cause of the issue.
Failure to tackle heat waves is another issue, you can cool down the outside as nearly as well as an office building.
After that, rules that have blatant disregarded for people working outside isn't racism, it's just not giving a fuck about others, and wanting to limit regulation in the name of cutting red tape. Lacking empathy doesn't make you racist, it's just being an asshole, plane and simple.
Don't be sorry because I can read, lol. I'm just a goofball sometimes
Nothing! I'm like 80% of the way though Oathbringer (book thee of the storm light archive), but I haven't listened to it in about two weeks.
I recently hiked Mt Major, and ended up listening to podcasts instead of my audio books.
Welp, I don't read ... German? Idk I can only read American
Man I'm just working though ticket after ticket at work. On my lunch break right now, and I think I've got over 12 hours of billable work so far. I want to retire.
I did that with the Dresden files, though not to the same extent. The things are just candy.
What's you're preferred writing topic, or genre?
I know nothing about nobel prize people, as I primarily stick to picture books. Nor do I follow European politics, as I'm a freedom loving American.
Who is David Wallace, and what fascist government did he support?
Personal favorites from 2017
My favorite fan fiction is Dreaming of Sunshine, by Silver Queen.
But there's also
The Howling Wind
The Girl from the Whirlpool
Black Cloaks, Red Clouds
Ibiki's Apprentice
The Sun Soul
In The Box
The first five are Naruto Fanfics. If you've never watched Naruto the only one you'll have problems with is Dreaming of Sunshine, the following three diverge from Cannon quite a bit, and tell their own unique stories that completely surpass the cannon. I highly recommend them, as they read better than some books I've read. Ibiki's Apprentice is a cute one chapter short, you'll find it funny.
The Sun Soul is a pokemon fanfic that once again diverges from the cannon quite a bit, I was a big fan, but it's been a while since I've read it.
In The Box is another once chapter short, it's a Firefly fanfic, it's cute and funny. If you don't like it, I don't like you.
In regards to federation, is literature federated with lemmy.one? I ask as that's where my main is.
Yo!
I'm going by Kaladin, as I've been loving my Storm light archive re-read. I've been enjoying Sandersons work for maybe 5 years now.
My go to is Sci-fi and Fantasy, but I'll take nonfiction if the subject interests me. I also struggle to sit down and read, so my list of read books is a little basic.
I also fucking hate red rising, I've literally read Naruto fanfiction that was better.
The Sci-Fi fantasy section is a dangerous place for my wallet.
I know lots of instances are encouraging users to use imgur links, are you able to disable image uploads?
What do hosting costs usually look like? I've got no idea what the pricing of it would be.
Also, I think beehaw did a breakdown of their donations and costs, so assuming this instance gets big it could be something to look into.
Edit: nevermind you did that three days ago
