Where can I mass steal knowledge from you guys?
  • After randomly digging somewhere for a bit I found the https://fediring.net/.

Edit: Also this and it has even more links to more gardens.

Edit Edit: 1h of my time was stolen from me by your pages pages pages pages pages. You got me there.

  • Where can I mass steal knowledge from you guys?

Hello, I came to the conclusion that stealing other peoples second brains is a very efficient way of obtaining information.

So... Do you guys have have like a big fat list of all digital gardens in the world all nicely tagged?

    Thanks in advance.

    But War Crime
  • But this is the most reasonable response.

If they realize that human shields aren't working, they won't use them and a more optimal number of people will be killed overall.

Also, any human shields you kill should be attributed to the people using those human shields.

Thats my take on this. I will agree to disagree with anyone who thinks otherwise.

PS: For all those replying: where did the words "Israel" and "Hamas" come from? I would like to bring to your attention that I didn't cover any details specific to the conflict anywhere above.. As far as I am concerned:

    • Hamas is a terrorist organization
    • civilians in Gaza are innocent
    • Opinions about Israel are based entirely on Hamas reporting which could.be accurate or could be misinformation.

PPS: Lets play some mental games for a second.

Statement 1: X is mass murdering innocent people. And Y is trying to kill X.

Who is the bad guy and who is the good guy? X is bad Y is good.

Now let me reveal How X is mass murdering people.

Statement 2: X is doing so by putting those innocent people into the fire of Y on X.

You cannot tell me Y is worse than X after that. I don't say that we can't judge Y for attacking X under these circumstances, but X is never better than Y.

  • Are there any people who hates music?
  • For many people out there, the music preferences I have are as good as none. My choice can't be described by a particular category and is completely cherry picked. There isn't much correlation between the band or the time the song was written and whether I like it.

  • Are there any people who hates music?
  • I think they are the only ones where both the music and the lyrics are good. Good music actually fits well with the song and actually changes as the song moves along, and good lyrics (in my opinion) should describe a moment in time rather than a whole story.

There are many other songs that fit this category, but I am really picky about it and some are to boring and others are just not the type of vibe I like.

Mozart (or other classical) is for the cases where I had enough of songs and just want some music in my ears.

Mountain King beats any movie action music, not to practical when just listing to, but really good for imagination.

  • Are there any people who hates music?
  • I hate 100% of modern music and about 90% of old music.

    My playlist is like:

    • Mozart
    • Show Must Go On by Queen
    • Moscau (German version) by Gengis Chan
    • Hall of the Mountain King

Beatles and Pink Floyed are tolerateable.

And I apologize for anything I misspelled anywhere above.

  • Thermal Energy Intuition
  • If you don't get it:

It takes the same amount of energy to increase the temperature of water by ~70°C (room temp=30°C and boiling point = 100°C) as it takes to send that cup of water 30 000 meters into the air. (If I did the math right)

  • If you for.any reason don't get it:

It takes the same amount of energy to increase the temperature by ~70°C as it takes to send that cup of water 30 000 meters into the air. (If I did the math right)

  • I get that strange deja vu/nostalgia feeling every time this happens.

When you find that one project someone made 10 years ago, it has all the features imaginable, is well documented and still works like a Swiss clock, but has only 1 github star.

"O guardian of this forgotten land, who stands here for those few who seek your aid. You shall forever stay in our hearts."

[AskFinance] Which type of content would you like to see?
  • I am a complete nobody (and not even part of the community) But I think something like common scams (and strategies of saving money by not falling for both "India scammers" and "Big Evil corporations") would be great.

  • Search engine with only specific sites indexed
  • Thanks, now that I look at it, Kagi is pretty insane in terms of features, unfortunately Kagi isn't free (and I will probably have to continue selling myself to google for a while), and Kagi doesn't have the exact features I need. I wanted it to be a search engine specifically for my bookmarks and nothings else.

I think I will have to put writing my own search engine onto my summer project list. (And probably is a good idea to learn about indexing,) or better yet: figure out how YaCy works or archivebox work, I tried them out, I think if I mess up their configurations, they will give me functionality I want.

  • Own search engine for specific websites?

I want a search engine that indexes and displays only the sites I ask it to (my bookmarks). I often come across insanely good articles and resources, but because I don’t really need them at that moment, I forget about them and can’t find them when I need them. Maybe there is a search engine at which you can throw good websites you find, and then use if you think you came across it before.

I am not sure if SearX will be able to help here, but I am sure someone will have advice...

Currently I am just storing everything into a Notion database, but then I either have to write down what that website is, or I will never find it.

Thanks and have a great day.
