I agree with the statement that he is naive and also that he has to grow. Its disappointing to me that it was apparently just Koby sent to get Boa who is very strong, like take out 2 of Blackbeard's captains and entire army strong. I'm kinda lost on the match-up, especially if Koby is that naive- which Boa preys upon voraciously. Its kinda tough for me to just look at this piece and take it at face value when the characters have their own hierarchy within the verse.

Koby a fraud... Like he went back to rookie status for me. Hachinosu has no civilians. He was had by a rando. Very troupy too. After all the hype about fighting the Kuja Pirates... if Boa would have actually joined the fight, she would have put him on a t-shirt.

Hmm... I hadn't considered that either. Can I take your words as such? In anticipation of the reveal of "the empty throne", the WG could begin something like a witch-hunt of all the Ds. Its a really interesting development should this happen. Like a possibility of cleansing the ranks of the Navy of all the Ds in a very gut reaction type of way out of fear of the future developments (possible treason in the Navy and uprisings in the kingdoms who go to Reverie). This witch-hunt could invalidate the bargaining power of Blackbeard since he has the D moniker as well, this decision by Blackbeard could still lead to a parley trap with Akainu again. I appreciate this idea. My friend and I love talking and guessing all the ways events could unfold, and this could be pretty dope development.

I hadnt quite considered the possibility of capture, same as how I didn't consider the possibility of Garp potentially losing. I mean his displays of power and speed. Especially being able to respond to a guy who can freeze an expanse of ocean near instantly is a huge display. I mean Garp was frozen, broke out of the ice and still managed to catch Kuzan. So you can see how I didn't really think he could lose- obviously I wasn't 100% on it though. But I don't see why one would not kill a heavy hitter like Garp given the chance. I'm not too sure of motive but One Piece characters sometimes don't follow tropes and will act in realistic fashion. To me it would be silly to let any of Sword leave alive. What kind of leverage is Garp for Blackbeard? I don't know of anything he could gain from the World Government he hasn't attempted already with trading for Bonney. So considering the fact that the Navy sets traps at parley, I would try to take out as many threats as possible.

I would have replied earlier but had to get my account started here lol. But Big Mom is actually my favorite character in all of One Piece, and I have many friends who love her as well (not to the extent I do) so I figure I can essentially tell you why many are enamoured with her. I cannot be as brief but I'll try. Hopefully this is entertaining and maybe thought-provoking. So basically for me I originally liked Boa mostly because she was a straight-edged strong woman. To this day she is 10 toes down no matter who is in front of her and will inflict tremendous casualties no matter the result. In comes Big Mom. She is a fever dream of a character, she completely blew my mind. For starters the moment Luffy landed on her island he was located immediately. THE FUCKING TREES WERE WATCHING HIM, and while he was travelling through her territory the fauna were insulting him throughout the forest. Never in my life would I have imagined such a thing. There are major implications for this but I'm brief and will stick to canon. But regardless this adds to her tactical prowess. She definitely underestimated Luffy but realized how much of a threat he was and decided to chase him. But that has been the hubris which carries Luffy to greatness. Lin Lin has an actual thunderstorm on her left shoulder that insults you. An actual flaming sun on her right shoulder that also insults you. And lastly a sword that as you guessed it insults you. All of them can move freely as well. To me you cannot fight Big Mom on the ones- you get jumped regardless because of them. You should not be able to sneak her- which is kinda wack that you can lol. I could go on but I believe this is enough. I love her abilities, I love her VA and design especially in the latest episodes. She can fight anyone in the series and no one would be able say she loses a fight easily. Hell she took this L by technicality of ring out lol! They didn't have enough strength to get a KO so they pushed her out of the ring lol. Jokes aside I hope this helps.
