Has anyone played Skyrim special edition on gog?
  • LOOT is definitely not anything new. I’m decently confident it’s been a thing for over a decade. To clarify: load order is important to make sure no incorrect files or assets are accidentally overwritten in the course of loading the mods onto the base game, as an incorrect load order can cause a lot of issues.

Regardless, it looks like there is a Linux compatible flatpak version on flathub. Here’s the GitHub page. I personally can’t say I’ve used LOOT on Linux, though, only on Windows, as my Skyrim modding days came before I made the switch, so your mileage may vary.

  • Whether It’s Biden or Someone Else, Gaza Remains Top Priority for “Uncommitted” Voters
  • I take your point and agree, actually. Single issue voters are always a nuisance though, and these ones are nothing new.

Also worth noting that we similarly have blood on our hands for a lack of support for Ukraine. All that time that the US political system was bogged down and unable to send aid meant they had to pay the cost to hold the line in manpower instead, so I can understand the frustration.

  • Whether It’s Biden or Someone Else, Gaza Remains Top Priority for “Uncommitted” Voters
  • I think it should be pretty clear, right? It’s different because America is helping them commit genocide. It’s not like this is all happening separately from us and people are calling for some kind of foreign intervention, they’re asking that we stop helping the people doing a genocide.

That’s not to say it’s my only priority this election, but it’s definitely up there, because I, like many Americans, feel like I’m complicit to some degree.

Make no mistake, though, Trump would be far worse. I still know the score here, but I can understand why it ranks highly on people’s priorities.

  • Hathras crush: More than 120 killed at religious event in India
  • Jesus, your perspective is just toxic and hateful. How is this any different than any other incident where people are trampled (see: Travis Scott)? Why is religion at fault here suddenly? Or is this an objective reason that you are a fool for liking Travis Scott?

I grew up religious, and I’ve distanced myself from spirituality for the better part of a decade now, so I’ve played both roles at different times in my life. Even so far removed, though, I can still objectively acknowledge that religion has played a critical role in human evolution and history. It’s not wrong for people to want to want answers about the universe and life, and the human experience is built around community. Religion can, for many people, provide for those needs, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Look, I acknowledge that religion is responsible for, or at least a justification of, a lot of human suffering. That is true of lot of human institutions - we are deeply flawed beings. I would also say, however, that in saying those things, you are adhering to your ideology and casting vitriol with the same fervor that a hyper-religious person would.

Please just try empathy next time. Such hateful statements do nothing to change minds, and are more likely to push people away from looking deeper at religion and objectively examining if it’s actually good for them as an individual.

  • Also worth noting that Russia has not made any real significant territorial advances since the start of the war despite hundreds of thousands of casualties while massively burning down their inheritance of old soviet systems. It’s not just Ukraine who hasn’t been able to change that.

Conflicts like this aren’t just determined by military strength, as there is defender advantage, political will to fight, western aid, etc. to consider that could change the balance. I would agree that Russia has the edge right now, but that’s definitely something that can change.

  • Canada contacts Israel after aid agency says water truck bombed in 'targeted' attack
  • Valid. I assumed they were talking about the political terms rather than parties due to the lack of capitalization in the original comment, though my own comment has them capitalized so I certainly muddied the waters further. Definitely my bad, I’ll edit it to be more clear.

I must say, though, you are quite an aggressive fellow. I wasn’t making any judgements or even really commenting on foreign politics in any meaningful way - simply making an observation.

  • Canada contacts Israel after aid agency says water truck bombed in 'targeted' attack
  • Separate from the Canadian parties, it’s also worth noting that ‘liberal’ and ‘conservative’ are not mutually exclusive ideologies.

Edit: clarified that this is not in reference to political parties in particular.

  • To Fight ‘Shrinkflation’ France Will Force Retailers to Warn Shoppers: Merchants will be required to put signs in front of all products that have been reduced in size without a corresponding price cut
  • I agree, but it’s also worth noting the influence of police forces, riot police, swat teams, and the national guard.

The US basically has an occupying army to quell unrest in every county across the country, so it’s harder to properly protest without state retaliation. Not to say we shouldn’t do it, but I can understand people’s reticence.

  • Frankly, you won’t get fair treatment unless you treat it like an employer-employee relationship; It reminds me of workplaces that say ‘we’re family’. I have personally found those kinds of workplaces to be some of the most exploitative, because they want you to feel like you owe them something when you honestly don’t.

In my opinion, companies intentionally use tactics like this to abstract away from that fact.
