I just got Sleeping Gods and it’s fantastic so far, a really wild game concept.
We’ve also been playing Dune imperium for a while now.
Hmm yeah this seems like a fundamental misunderstanding of spellcasters on their part. In general they have two objectives: stay alive, and cast all their spells in a productive way. They should try and end every adventure day with no spells left. In my experience there is little value in hoarding spells, and if they want to do that suggest that they buy scrolls of the spells they always want on hand. Spell slots aren’t much of a limited resource assuming they can rest when they want or near enough, with scrolls filling the gap.
That said, it sounds like casters just aren’t for them. Have them play a fighter, seriously. They will love it I promise.
I’d address their hang up with casting spells, why do they not feel comfortable casting any spells? What kind of spells do they prepare? Why do they think running around with a dagger is a good idea? I have many questions for this player lol
For real though if it’s a problem for you and other players, I think the easiest though not most elegant solution would be to ban them from playing a caster in your game.
Might be harsh but just point them towards classes that do dagger stabbing better than a wizard or whatever, which it sounds like you’ve done, but just take casters off the table for them.
Ideally though, figure out why they don’t feel like casting spells, it can’t just be because they forget to.
lol I have to is conversation at least once a year with someone.
Choose a couple AI art community and not a dozen.
I feel like there are too many ai art communities tbh, I constantly block them and there always seems to be more.
For one in visual media, the 5th elements Zerg ZF-1 pod weapon, obviously.
From a novel so you don’t get to actually see it, but the clockwork diamond pistol from Chasm City always caught my imagination. Mostly transparent and needs to be key-wound.
Music for Abominations (Minor Abomination Vaults spoilers)
Been running AV for a year or so now and we finally made it to the labs and the Warped Brew. I wanted to come up with some good music for Shadow Malice to play and I think I found the perfect thing: Days N Daze. Folk punk works so well here. I personally played Call in the Coroner and my players absolutely loved it, probably one of the most energetic sessions we’ve had.
Just wanted to share in case anyone else runs into the same desire.
I’m not a professional, but your care looks fine. To me, it sounds like the stress of a new environment may have triggered a brumation.
However, I would take them to the vet asap. It’s been long enough to be concerned. Reptiles are very hardy, but that often means they can suffer for a long time before signs show. If they are sick, they probably have been for some time and it may be dire. I wouldn’t count on it, but the vet should be your next step.
Good! I work as a cannabis trimmer in OR and I can’t tell you how often I see mold, yet there is zero accountability or action taken about it. At best a grower will pick out all the mold, at worst they just send it.
Thanks, you raise a good point. I think I’d feel more pride if I felt more able to participate, but as it is I’m not comfortable opening myself up to constant attack just because I have an opinion. But the best we can do is try, I suppose.
I’m genuinely curious how people that hateful can get that creative. How do they come up with this nonsense?
Replicator. Huge step towards post-scarcity.
Yeah patient gaming has definitely been a nice place for sure.
If it weren’t for years of gaming isolation I’d probably have a much easier time meeting people, but it’s hard to test the waters when you’re jaded.
And this is why we can’t have nice things under capitalism.
I really struggle with fandoms and the entitlement of gamers. The loud minority (I hope) is so insufferable I can’t get over my social anxiety to even make online friends. No space feels safe, and even inclusive communities are filled with people complaining about shit.
It’s exhausting, and it makes me feel association guilt for being a part of such a vitriolic hobby.
Mtg seems like such a joke these days. For decades they created a ton of unique and intriguing worlds of their own. It is so lazy to see them use other IP numerous times now.
I gave up on everything WotC years ago and I have yet to see any reason to regret it.
An increasing number of people rescue dogs that have been abused in some way, which can often lead to defensive behavioral patterns that can be really hard to address fully. Recent isolation has also caused a lot of socialization problems for dogs that can’t really be helped sometimes.
Despite an owners best efforts, some dogs are just nervous and reactive, but they still need to get out and enjoy the world.
I’m playing a ‘good’ character and I really enjoy having him around. I trusted him and let him do his thing.
I would not call him an ‘evil’ character, a bit selfish but not to a harmful degree. He cares about your feeling and the feeling of others, he has gone out of his way for 200 years to -not- hurt anyone. He’s far from a lost cause even if you’re hardline ‘good’, your companionship is a powerful lesson to him.
