Yeah that's totally fair, I felt weird writing that because that was how I was brought up thinking of it. I suppose where I live, the dispersed camping is very clean cut and does show up on NFS listings, so I've learned to think of it differently recently. I suppose at the very least me and many other people just call any first come first serve camping "dispersed" because of this 🤷♀️
Whatever the case, it certainly doesn't need to be a backpacking spot.
Dispersed camping is any designated campsite that allows you to show up and go as you please. In Montana, they're everywhere and frequently have spots to put your RV or car. "Dispersed" is a designation by the NFS for these sites
"Involved in a tragic shooting..." Like he wasn't the one doing the shooting 💀
If public schools are required to comply, couldn't a teacher lose their job for not putting up the ten commandments in Louisiana?
FINALLY. This is what I've been waiting for.
Biden was old and Trump said he wouldn't be old if he was president
I think it's just a shit stirring paper to say "look, here's something that has zero observational evidence to its existence and look how ridiculous it sounds. Dark matter also has zero observational evidence, so why is that not ridiculous?" Which I'm not sure I agree with, but based on the faaar stretches he makes in the paper and the comments by the author later, that's what I gather.

Please share! I fell out of contact with my friends there over the pandemic and heard nothing about this.
Fuck me this comment section is toxic
I think people shouldn't have voted for a terrible president in 2016 but what do I know
Ah I see! You see I am also American and have an automatic, but don't have the funds or space for boats, caravans, or horses. I definitely did not know that about the torque converter, so thank you for that info!
I guess I just always assumed that those with the money and land for those activities you listed are wealthy enough to be in the extreme minority, but the way you say this makes me think my friends across the pond have a different perspective. Perhaps I am also in a bit of a bubble, having grown up in and only talk to people in a similar economic class.
What do you find people want to tow? I'm often at a loss when people bring this up because I've never once had a moment in my life where I was disappointed by the lack of towing capacity of my small car
When I didn't have a working dishwasher eating out was way more appealing because in addition to no prep, it meant no dishes.
What mods do you use? They mostly seem cosmetic when I look
The home button? Like you don't spend time in the home menu of your phone?
I also use square. I don't think I could use a smartphone that has a different layout anymore. But my first smartphone was a Windows phone, so it's engrained in me.
If I had to guess it'd be the danger of that thing snapping and hitting your cat in the face
Literally the only reason I use android is because of custom launchers and the ability to use a file explorer. Everything else is just the same
Thing is I don't think everyone is like that. I don't think others really do hate at much as internet people tend to hate. Everyone in my real life cannot relate to those statements
For anyone who's here, what brings you here?
What are your interests? Why do you find yourself wanting to talk about toys? I feel like this would be a good way to engage the sub and hopefully get more posts.
