I'm sure they're referring to the Zionist disinformation
capybaras are not pets, they are comrades in class struggle
I'm sure it's not boring for the people involved; the Ukrainian coup government continues to conscript civilians with no prior training, and the Nazis are presumably still shelling the Donbas
yes, that's why they focused on European capitalism
Marx and Engels certainly did have some gaps in their knowledge of non-European countries
there wasn't really a single international proletariat back then either, Marx and Engels just didn't write a lot about it
yes, I wish you the best of luck
don't lose hope, I believe that most people can learn to read with enough practice
unfortunately I can't help with your reading comprehension, but keep trying -- you'll reach an acceptable level eventually
I also have a hard time forcing myself to read theory. I listen to audio versions while doing other things, but I need to take notes and discuss it with others to truly understand a text. It might be helpful to join a reading group like the GenZedong/GenZhou theory discussion group on Matrix; at the moment, we read at a slow pace and have biweekly discussions (in addition to any impromptu conversations in the meantime, although the bulk tends to be every other weekend)
I actually didn't know "which Ukraine" you meant. I could guess that it was the part controlled by the fascist coup government, but some people support Ukraine while somehow being unaware of the nature of the government, and I don't know if you're just ignorant or pro-fascism. To be perfectly clear: no, I don't support fascists' right to defend themselves under any circumstances, even if the deaths of non-fascist civilians is tragic
again, the Donbas has the right to resist the imperialist puppet government; as for whether the fascist-controlled half of Ukraine has a right to continue their ethnic cleansing, well, I guess it depends on whether you're pro-fascism
You mean the US coup government that overthrew the elected government in 2014 and has since been committing genocide against the eastern part of the country? That's the "Ukraine" you're comparing to the Palestinians and indigenous peoples of the Americas?
I believe this will be fixed in update 0.19
the Ukrainians in the Donbas absolutely have a right to resist the coup government, yes
yes, that and much more
being able to predict the future is a signature ability of all large semi-aquatic rodents
you three
Join our ML theory discussion group in the GenZedong/GenZhou Matrix space!
Primarily for those who don't already have a discussion group, but anyone interested in Marxist-Leninist theory is welcome.
It won't require intensive reading/listening; it should be doable for anyone who works or studies full time. We're currently following a study plan from China, but we can add recommended texts (decided by vote). We've recently started and are currently reading some introductory texts.
You can join the group at #reading-group:genzedong.xyz
(an encrypted room) through the GenZedong/GenZhou Matrix space (see this post).
We might need more mods for communities like /c/latestagecapitalism
With the Reddit exodus, there's been a significant increase in the number of bad-faith liberals commenting on communities like LSC. I don't personally think we should ban liberals from all communities if they're being respectful, but immediate hostility breaks the instance's third rule and seeing it everywhere might make some users uncomfortable. In particular, the bigger communities that only have admins as mods (I get the feeling that they have a lot to deal with already) or have inactive mods might need some help
I haven't spoken to any admins about this so ignore this if it's already being dealt with

Proposal for a single "Shit Reactionaries Say" community
There are a lot of "Shit X Says" communities now, which inevitably leads to quite a few cross-posts and makes people less likely to see others' comments (e.g. someone comments on a "Shit Liberals Say" post, someone else on the "Shit Fascists Say" version of the post, etc.). It might be a good idea to just have one "Shit Reactionaries Say" community, either by creating a new one or by repurposing the most popular one (SLS), and then setting the other communities to only allow mod posts (basically read-only).\ Thank you for coming to my TEDxLemmygrad talk. Proposal co-authored with a second mysterious tankie
Addendum: may be a good idea to also have one community for ultra-leftists separate from the one for general reactionaries.
Wow, I'm sure glad I don't live in China. I could never live somewhere people aren't allowed to think freely or live as individuals!!

flamingosaurus wrecks
Pterodaustro was a genus of pterosaurs that is believed to have filter-fed with a "tooth comb". Like flamingos (who also filter-feed), the Pterodaustro's proposed color would be caused by its diet, which likely consisted mainly of crustaceans and other small creatures
Because of its tiny focken legs, it might've had some difficulty flying, unlike other pterosaurs

the whole series is really interesting
big rodent time
despite the recreation's similarity to the greatest extant rodent, the closest living relative of this genus (Josephostaliniaartigasia) is the pacarana
approximately 500kg and 2.6m long
here is a possibly inaccurate depiction next to some guy and my cousin
Big pinchers
Jaekelopterus rhenaniae (410.8-402.5 Ma) is the largest known species of arthropod. It's classified as a chelicerate, which also includes sea spiders, horseshoe crabs, arachnids, and various other extinct groups. They're called "sea scorpions", but they likely didn't actually live near the sea, so someone screwed up there
! ^ The horseshoe crabs are close extant relatives. (As a side note, I just learned that horseshoe crabs' blood (which is blue btw) is used for pharmaceutical development since it can detect toxins, and now you also have to deal with that knowledge)
This lad is a whale (cetacean)
It's Ambulocetus natans, folks. They could move around on land using contraptions called "legs" -- as you may have noticed, modern whales typically don't have these. Known from a single fossil found in Pakistan, they existed 48-47 million years ago and then literally disappeared into thin air (confirmed by witnesses at the scene)
