  • I work in an underground mine and sometimes when I'm waiting for someone to come pick me up, I torn my cap lamp off and sit on a rock. It's the darkest dark you can imagine. No shadows, no pin pricks of light just your thoughts. All you can hear is the sound of moving air and the occasionally the rock moving.

    It's genuinely peaceful and so so relaxing. Definitely had some philosophical moments down there

They don't like nuclear for obvious reasons and there's a few reasons they probably don't like renewable projects like a lack of land and being a natural disaster prone country. So they are left with importing energy and hopefully value adding to it enough that it's worth while

  • That's actually pretty hard... slate is a lightly metamorphosed shale. Without looking too much into it, I'd say the most obvious thing would be the prominence of the foliation in the slate would be fading away
