Apple Releases Tool to Help Developers Port Windows Games to Mac
  • I don’t game enough on my Mac to make full use of this, but if I can play all the Lego games without having to use Dolphin then I will definitely change that. Mac gaming needs to be simpler for devs, and this seems to help with that goal.

  • I feel the same way. I’m a fan of what Woodford is doing and their stuff is super clean. A friend of mine is a huge bourbon fan so he’s been a good resource. Good luck to you on your journey!

  • GM CEO Mary Barra hints at Ultium Chevy Bolt in near future
  • Agreed. I was completely in on an Equinox or Blazer because we have a good relationship with our local Chevy dealer, then completely out because of no CarPlay, and now on the fence because of them adopting NACS. Snip snap snip snap snip snap.

  • Offset tele build
  • Nice. Pine was an underrated wood for a while but it’s coming into fashion now. Lighter ash replacement due to those stupid beetles.

Ironically usually I like transparent colors better, but my single coil Tele is solid. Maybe I’ll post a pic of it sometime.

    Lessons learned in 2022

Hey everyone, wanting to get some discussion going. What are the things you’re going to massively over-correct for in 2023 based on how your leagues went?

Mine is simple: having a Mahomes-Kelce stack is my goal in redraft. I have had Kelce for a couple years and had him stacked last year, and every time I go into the season with a shaky build but end it loving the decision I felt forced into.

    Bold Predictions?
  • I don’t know honestly. I’m still worried about the defense and how much talent we have on our D-line and how much effort is going to be required of the LBs and DBs because of it. If the offense comes out swinging and if we’re still losing games like we ended last year, I honestly won’t be disappointed: I had more fun during that stretch last year than I’ve ever had watching the Bears.

ETA: realized I didn’t have a bold prediction, so here it is: Justin Fields wins a Super Bowl by the end of the decade.

  • The Vikings sticking with Kirk Cousins during ‘competitive rebuild’ is so risky
  • Look, I’m a Bears fan so you might count me biased, but it feels like the Vikings have been in this state for a while. They can’t get over the hump. I don’t think Captain Kirk is a bad QB, but they’re gonna be in this pattern for a while and once again waste the best young WR in the game in his prime.

  • Disney Has 50 Live-Action Movies in the Pipeline
  • So I get some of these being a thing…but Moana?! They truly don’t know when to stop because the cash keeps rolling in. I have been cynical about these for a little while, but this is getting ridiculous.

  • This is what Instagram’s upcoming Twitter competitor looks like
  • Using ActivityPub is an interesting twist I did not see coming. I could see myself trying this, despite my problems with Meta, especially because running social media for a church means I can’t really give up Facebook or Instagram and because people I know might actually sign up for it.

Not on Mastodon at the moment, but with the way Twitter has been heading it might be worth looking into, especially because getting on Lemmy helped me understand the Fediverse better.

  • It can be, but the senior pastor I work for is into organized labor, and my wife and I have found some pockets of people with some understanding or agreement. Even without those others, though, it’s been a good exercise to learn patience and self-control in the face of those who disagree or hate people with my views and to befriend and lead them without devaluing them.
