Personally I think the comment could've been worded better as it can be interpreted either as

... is always the excuse for fascism ...

(I.E. Fascists use the excuse, provably correct and can be generalised to authoritarianism in general) However I do see that it could potentially be taken the other way as

... is always the excuse for fascism ...

(I.E only those who used the excuse are fascists, completely false) I used the principle of charity and assumed the inital argument was logical, though its understandable if others aren't willing to do that

You seem to have made what's known as a converse error in your logic:

The person you replied to said that

All fascist ideologies will use the argument of "Protecting the children"

You seem to have mistakingly confused that with the false claim

All arguments that use "Protecting the children" are made by fascist ideologies

And as such you have responded to a statement the commenter never made.

And equivalent mistake would be claim that since every time it rains it is cloudy, therefore whenever it is cloudy it is always raining. Honestly logical errors happen for everyone, I hope this helps.

The cultural left is against her for being very visibly transphobic (along other things). Additionally religious reactionaries historically don't like the fact her books are inspired by historical witchcraft practices, as pointed out in the meme.

I enjoy being able to see and interact with other people in a bunch of different contexts who are like minded without being so similar it becomes an echo chamber.

I do miss all the world building sub's and projects on reddit, at this point I only keep my account to post in one community. Additionally r/dogelore and r/polandball are great, and it appears those subreddit are branching out to other platforms in response to reddit recent changes.

Interestingly the founder of the project seems to explicitly disagree with that article

Sneakernet is getting worse and worse these days, I'm learning the ancient art of astroprojecting into random people's rooms to consume media.

Because people grow up in religious environments which result in many of there friends and beliefs being tied to that religion. People only stop believing when they are faced with undeniable evidence (which for most is impossible because religious teachings are unfalsifiable) or more often when there is an emotionally charged conflict between there religion and another part of a persons's life.

For an example of the latter, I once knew someone who started questioning (and eventually became agnostic) because the church they had always went to had started preaching homophobic messages which was irreconcilable with there closest friend being gay.

1. Personally I brought a .site domain from namecheep for $2 a year
2. Self hosting is cheepest but may require making a call to your service provider or using a dynamic DNS service. Personally I use vultr, though I've heard linode, Azure, google cloud and AWS are all great alternatives.
3. WordPress is a good option for setting up a website with a ton of plugins and installs available, just make sure to keep your plugins up to date
4. Make sure to secure your ssh with keyfiles instead of passwords, additionally I followed everything in this guide

It's website seems to have had a graphic designer look over it. It seems to do the best of both worlds where you can download the default user friendly client or choose to go down the jargon route if you want to.
