It does, but I'll take that in exchange for knowing I'm reducing the harm I cause
  • The only reason that comes to mind is collective action/organizing. If you can find common ground in a social, economic, or political issue with another group, can align yourself with that group only in regards to that issue, and can in that way make progress on that issue... then do it.

    You don't need to agree with people you're organizing with on anything but the thing you're organizing about.

    That said, if I found myself agreeing with a proud bigot on anything at all, my first step would be a thorough recheck of my stance, its implications, and how I came to it in the first place.
