Compliant mechanisms are cool, I used it ones before and it works quite well. If you can get everything lined up properly that is.
All you really have to do is give the button a cutout, which is supported on only one side. Make the supporting area not too thick so it's easy to press (1 or 2 mm should be good I think) and give the button some shape that makes it easy to feel by hand.
It's a bit difficult to give any real tips without any pictures, but that's the gist of what you need to do

Why do you have to wait a week to use the bootloader?
Its a software limitation, you can't unlock the bootloader immediately. After a week you probably have stuff on the device so you might not want to unlock it anymore
Or it might be a security thing so retailers can't unlock stuff they sell so easily and put their own software on it

Lineage OS 21 apps on other devices?
I just got a new phone (Sony Xperia 1 VI) and I'd like to replace the standard google apps with some open source alternatives. I already tried a bunch in the past, but not all of them feel quite right compared to the google apps. Lineage OS 21 has a few apps I'd like to try, especially the dialer and keyboard app. Do any of you know where I can get download them to install on any android phone?
Thanks!
