Ik snap het gemak van de cloud in dit soort apps, maar dat de fabrikant geen lokaal alternatief beschikbaar stelt is gewoon totale onzin. Het zou w.m.b. bij wet geregeld moeten zijn dat dit soort zaken ook zonder de fabrikant nog moet kunnen functioneren, mogelijk iets minder handig o.i.d., maar op zijn minst als alternatief voor de normale werking van zo'n product.

God damn, that just feels like they've only gifted it to be passive agressive, did you have a good relationship with the giver at the time?
This just feels like they still had it lying around in the storage closet or something. At that point it's just better to get nothing.
It certainly isn't a bad bike by any means, fun as hell to ride as well. I also love riding, we have a big group now and go away for a weekend of riding ever so often. Just feels like a mini holiday everytime.

I have a lot of personal projects, some big, some little. Some focus around my daily job and the things I find interesting but are too farfetched or risky in an R&D sense to actually focus on. Others are more personal or related to my hobbies.
For example, I have a water level sensor in my RV that's broken, mostly because of bad design. As a personal project I'm designing a drop-in replacement that's (hopefully) more reliable.
Other times I make contributions to open source projects that I use and like, for example to fix bugs or add features that I want.
These are mostly evening activities though, during the day it's mostly hobbies, like diving, hiking, motorcycling and such. You can never have too many hobbies :)
And sometimes I don't have the energy for any of it and just sit and read Lemmy or watch a movie with my fiancé, all mood dependent.
