How Reddit Is Repeating The History Of The Site It Killed.
  • "Eventually, everything becomes a crab"

Carcinization is an example of a phenomenon called convergent evolution, which is when different groups independently evolve the same traits. It's the same reason both bats and birds have wings. But intriguingly, the crab-like body plan has emerged many times among very closely related animals.

It seems to apply to social networks as well 😀

  • This new UX change sucks ass. When I hide a post I want it *gone*.
  • I agree with OP...would like to be able to do that here on Lemmy as well...if you want to not see a post here, you have to block the user altogether.

Edit: Just tested it OP, after you refresh it goes away...it's just a chance to Undo before it disappears entirely. It's not a terrible change :)

  • Banned from Mastodon.social
  • It's funny how you're getting downvoted for posting about an instance of banhammering on a /c/ that specifically asked people to post about those experiences.

I posted on /r/conspiracy on Reddit and started getting banned on other subs as well...they don't like the proles putting the puzzle pieces together, I guess.

  • Banned on some Reddit subs for posting on /r/conspiracy

I posted quite a bit on /r/conspiracy on the pandemic ...after that I got banned from posting on /r/vaccinelonghaulers and all the city and country subs eg: /r/korea. Still have my account and I can still post on places I'm not banned. ! !
