I am planning a project and need help
I am drawing out diagrams for a project I want to do to involve loads of buttons in a 8x8 grid but... I don't know how to go about driving them, if someone could show a simple way to not use a lot of pins to accomplish this I'd be happy as then I'd be able to continue drawing out my plans.

I've had a 'passion' for programming for all my life, but recently I've been getting into a very, very emotional state over stuff like tooling and small things like that. The smallest things make me go off these days, and I feel so tired after every discussion. Feeling like I am in the wrong or that I don't know what I'm talking about. I wish I could just make it all go away or somehow be happy or succeed some day. I never will tho
Would you say that spinning chairs are better for people with ADHD?
As a person with ADHD I do enjoy spinning in my chair, and feel sad when it is missing. Do you think all chairs should spin so that people like me can feel happier?
That's me whenever any random pain happens. Although my gut is constantly in agony and doctors have no idea what's happening.

Does hexagonal architecture make things worse?
I looked into the lemmy src, and what is supposed to be a CRUD API has several layers of abstraction. Same at work, where we have hexagonally structured apps where following any sort of logic is literally impossible. What are your thoughts?

Should beehaw ditch NGINX for Caddy?
I've recently been wondering if Lemmy should switch out NGINX for Caddy, while I hadn't had experience with Caddy it looks like a great & fast alternative, What do you all think?

That's amazing, although in the EU rules are more strict on ebikes. Especially with ones over a certain limit. They can only really go max 25/h and if they go over they become by law a vehicle and need a license plate and a driving license to drive.

Fair enough I'm in a rural town in Europe and it's mostly an issue of having to get to the city, thankfully I don't need to use a car for anything else other than getting to work and maybe the nearest large town but that's mostly due to the fact that a family sadly needs loads of groceries to feed itself.
Thank you for the clarification, so what I'm hearing is that owning a car is fine if it's not something outrageously large or inefficient and I don't have good public transit connections?
I hope my local government makes bus service better then as the alternative is more than 3 hours of bus rides with a large cramped bus :/

Is it okay to own a car in a rural area?
I'm a person living in a rural area and have to either go by train, the nearest station being 15 mins away by car and the trains having a schedule that keeps fluctuating.
Or have to go by car where it takes 60 mins to get where I need to go. I wouldn't want to get a late pickup or anything outrageous just something to get me places.
I'm not a car enthusiast or anything like that.
Need help finding a good software stack for a private Kubernetes cluster
I need a:
- CMS (with webhooks)
- Something that easily lets me deploy stuff (as in either a git triggered deployment or just uploading a zip file)
- and an easy-to-use static file hosting server that supports dynamic uploads since I need to do Incremental static regeneration (I have played around with caddy and cepth a bit)

Something I find helpful in battling the mental issues I get from it is to just look at something green for a while or take a break. Also, confronting people in dms makes them more chill.
(I don't know what kind of hypnosis GitHub and GitLab use, but everyone seems to be more intense on these platforms)

Hi, so I've been wandering this all my life, but how do others get the energy to finish and do things?
My ADHD/Autistic brain has trouble getting the simplest of chores done, simply due to me not being able to start or continue past a mental block.
I've been taking meds for my depression, and it seems to have helped but... If anyone has some tricks they've used to get by, please let me know.
