  • If it's the second, do you have to hunt it down yourself or how does it work?

  • I've seen some general dissatisfaction around finding communities, would having the search also check for matching keywords in the community descriptions improve things?
  • Wait, it doesn't do that already? All this time I've been searching for communities assuming the search also looks into the description.

  • I really want to like Lemmy
  • The mobile browser version is pretty much unusable for me. I select view All, then organize by either Hot or Active, and what I get is an endless stream of posts, but newly made and from two years ago (so, neither Hot not Active). And the page becomes unresponsive because of the endless stream.

The app works better but kept timing out when trying to upvoted stuff. Just updated to see if that fixes it.

So far, I gotta say squabbles is working better for me as a reddit alternative.

  • I think something is wrong with the Hot sort in Lemmy.world
  • There is something weird going on. Yesterday sorting by hot caused a constant stream of new posts, at least for me in the jerboa mobile app.

  • The cycle of the day...
  • I swore to myself I wouldn't go there during the blackout, and that I would use that time to get better acquainted with Lemmy, kbin and squabbles.

  • Welcome reddit refugees!
  • Oh, I see. I wonder if I can ask you, kind stranger, another question. Just created an account on kbin, with this same user name, because I thought kbin was a different thing, and it looks a little friendlier, but now I'm seeing that I comment on here from there so now apparently there's two bradses brace and I don't know what's going on.

  • Well, at least this place looks a little simpler than mastodon. But could someone explain what's that Matrix User thing on my settings?
