Amorphis - Under The Red Cloud
It's one of the albums where I sometimes play each side twice before turning them, maybe even their best album to date. Not really any filler track on that album just good stuff :)
Four Wise Ones: https://youtu.be/nkqj4vbwdIw
Forteresse - Thèmes Pour La Rébellion
An absolutely amazing black metal album directly from Quebec. Def worth a listen. I am glad I was able to tick this from my wantlist after some months. I would say if you like Batushka and Stormkeep, their sound is rather similar.
Le Sang Des Héros: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCs7dVEr6-o
The real Батюшка - both albums - I couldn't be happier
It's 2 very special albums for me as both are simply amazing and very unique. Orthodox Church Chanting mixed with black metal, nothing that can go wrong :)
Литоургия: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URDWbv4miAQ
Панихида: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTwdZVaq4vQ
Ayreon - Into The Electric Castle (1998) - Not just any metal opera, it's the space metal opera.
This is his only album I always listen on a regular basis, no idea why the others simply can't do it for me but this is a masterpiece. On this record loads of artists where involved and each track hits you differently with the crazy twists.
Amazing Flight: https://youtu.be/H2Jmiz7VlDI?si=WsH4mkkLk9gq1Iub
It seems decent but I don't like that wobbly records dont have any stabilisation there, it's small at least. Techmoan actually reviewed this one he liked it.
Yeah because many do, that's why my warning. Have a look, this short video explains it pretty well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXV8tXrPOR4
You can still get smaller players for cheap that are not those suitcase players. AT-LP60 for example, even if I would say those aren't good either but at least they won't shred the records.
It's never too late!! Just stay away from the cheap suitcase players :)
Bataille - Reverb (Atmospheric Black Metal / Dungeon Synth)
Finally managed to get one of my most wanted records ticked off my wantlist, probably something for you if you like Summoning. Can't get enough of this guys music.
En Avant! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swkRV5O_dNI
Witchcraft - The Alchemist (Hard Rock / Doom / Stoner)
Samaritan Burden: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzIiFvPWj1g
An all in all absolutely brilliant album, I think this might my favorite from them, Number 2 would be "Legend".
That's so true. It's one of those that you can't get enough of.
Misþyrming - Algleymi (Black Metal from Iceland)
Absolutely stunning album, typical islandic weird sound included 🥰
Orgia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8z1H0UPNBU
I saw them together with Tyr and Sirenia some years ago, they where the best out of them and did an awesome liveshow
The one day where my friend accidently touched the singers boob while posing for the picture... best memories
I can also really recommend the album "Halo" too, it's probably my favorite from them. Enjoy :) ps: I only discovered them as a pre band many years ago by accident
Amorphis - Skyforger (Melodic Death Metal)
One of those albums where the record and albumcover match just perfectly.

Thank you, it's the DP-400. Wonderful turntable.
Black metal secret: Blue/Violet + Castle = 10/10 album. Like brothers from another mother.
Moonlight Sorcery - Piercing Through The Frozen Eternity (Atmospheric Black) & Stormkeep - Tales Of Othertime (Black)
What an awesome find!! I hope the condition is still fine and enjoyable but the price is great 🔥
Korn - Issues (NuMetal)
One of those albums that pulled me towards harder music, still enjoyable today and still my favorite from them. 1999 classic album.
I wouldn't be able to mention any band sounding remotely similar to them. I don't even have many records with saxophone sounds, "Ulver - Perdition City" comes to my mind as an album with some saxophone bits, but it's far away from White Ward.
Yeah for me this is the band which proofed that a saxophone can work with metal :)
White Ward - Futility Report (Black Metal / Post Metal)
One from the Ukraine, all my support to these guys. Beautiful album, incredibly weird and unusual for black metal because of all the jazzy elements. Not many metal albums that include a saxophon in such a perfect and dystopian way.
Thanks, it really does. In reality the colors are as flashy as on this picture :) Stay tuned for more posts in the future ;)
Damn I didn't even know we can have tools 🤯 I will for sure give it a go once I figure the basics out here
Thanks so much, yeah maybe I should create another one as I am having big troubles with lemmy.world rn as well.
Ok now it makes more sense, you mentioned I need to be logged in. I only have a lemmy.world account active so thats why I can't pull the result maybe. Even a search with the full name didn't give me any results - [email protected]
Thank you so much, that explains it. I only searched for "vinyl"
A really silly question about lemmy instances I believe - Solved, thank you folks!
Hello folks! I created the MetalVinyl a few days ago and was just having a look on some other instances (I am on lemmy world and the sub was also created there - I believe?). Weirdly if I head over to lemm.ee or beehaw.org and try to find it, it's not showing up but I can see other subs from lemmy.world? Did I do anything wrong when creating it? Or is it fully normal that it seems to be only available for lemmy.world? Thanks in advance!
I wish I had any solution but I don't even know wefwef :(
Something like this maybe?? If yes, let me know which one and I can see if I can somehow transform it into a banner
One for the ears and eyes - my most beautiful record in my collection
Buried Feather - Mind Of The Swarm (Psychedelic/Stoner)
