What America really needs
  • Diamond should be enough, making that many beds to mine netherite seems excessive especially since the update

  • Is God gay rule?
  • Yeah that does look real, not sure if it does more good than harm by putting it on a billboard.

And unfortunately it does seem to be common enough that even as a guy I've met a woman who had this happen to her and told me, and assumably many others who didn't say anything about the experience.

  • What was your first operating system or Linux Distribution?
  • Texas Instruments ROM Basic, then later PC-DOS (not MSDOS)

  • Trying Linux after using Windows for decades
  • Good to know, thanks. I would have googled it eventually.

  • Is God gay rule?
  • This act is so common the US has PSA billboards about it (e.g. Your Daughter Is Not Your Date! ).

    Is this real?

  • Trying Linux after using Windows for decades
  • I remembered reading about it happening soon (?) for certain kinds of security updates (?) somewhere but it's almost 2am here and I'm having difficulty googling a reliable and thorough source but it sounds like users will have to subscribe to Ubuntu Pro to get certain kinds of update, although it might be free under certain circumstances.

I don't know, Ubuntu has treated me well the last decade but I'm willing to explore other distros if it seems like it'll be unnecessarily commericalized. Will read up more in the morning.

  • Biden administration sets 50 miles per gallon fuel economy standard for 2031
  • I also had a B-series in high school that I posted about in another thread, with a cap on the back it was great for camping and hauling things around. So many good memories. A setup like that is also perfect for many contractors.

  • Trying Linux after using Windows for decades
  • Since Mint is a derivative of Ubuntu, are you being asked to pay for security updates? Using Ubuntu right now and looking to switch soonish

  • Chicago of all places, wow this is going to be epic

  • What Trump said about Tiannanmen less than a year after it happened.
  • Makes me wonder if there are quotes of him praising Stalin and Mao somewhere

  • What Trump said about Tiannanmen less than a year after it happened.
  • Also kind of crazy he would be supporting the Chinese simply out of love for authoritarians, the early 90s were a very different time in East-West relations.

  • What Trump said about Tiannanmen less than a year after it happened.
  • Well okay, I'm just surprised he always talked like that, I figured it was age related

  • What Trump said about Tiannanmen less than a year after it happened.
  • Sounds fake

    Late edit: but provably real

  • Blood for the Blood God!
  • I like it. Sure

  • Blood for the Blood God!
  • Ants do not have skulls

  • What is this guy?
  • Looks a little like a kissing bug or assassin bug, which spread Chagas disease. Probably a weevil like the other poster said. Not an entymologer.

  • YouTube update breaks fullscreen on my Android 9 phone

Breaking things that worked flawlessly for years, nice. Hopefully fixed soon. It's not just me is it?

Screen rotates when I click the fullscreen button but video doesn't fill the screen, rotates back to vertical after a second. I was able to get it to work properly by turning on rotate screen in the pull down menu and then turning the phone. It still remained in the squashed format shown above but when I pull the video down and then tap on the minimized video it pops out into full screen finally. So it's still usable but the 5 step fix is pretty frustrating.

No I haven't filed a bug report, youtube is a grownup company and do it's own rudimentary beta testing. Sad to see unforced errors like this more and more common in longstanding industry standard apps.
