  • I've been playing a lot of Beat Saber. Just for fun though, I'm not planning to get the achievements

  • It was definitely undercooked at launch, but the story was so good that it made up for all the bugs. At launch it already became one of my favorite games, and it's been fun to replay it now in 2.0

I heard CD Projekt made a lot of promises on their marketing material. Thankfully, i didn't watch any of the promotional material after the first 2018 trailer lol. After watching that trailer, I decided I was going to buy it no matter what. So I avoided everything I could because I didn't want any spoilers.

Did you also check out the edgerunners anime? It's pretty good

  • I've been replaying cyberpunk. Even though I already really liked the game at launch, now it is a lot better and more complete. I'll try to 100% this time around

  • Hey all. I forgot to make these posts last month. Sorry for the delay 😅

Recently I've been manly playing holocure and divinity original sin 2. Only missing the last achievement in holocure and half way done with dos2

  • It's unfortunate that the avengers fiasco ended up hurting this game. From what I've heard it's a pretty good game.

And I wish the steam deck was available on my country. I wanted a portable so I ended up buying a Nintendo switch last year, but then figured out that Nintendo games are just not for me lol. I'll have to sell it after I finish breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom since they're the only ones i really liked.

  • In my case life got busy so I wasn't able to play anything at all during the last couple weeks 😔

  • I'll have to skip Starfield. It's looking like a game you can spend hundreds of hours in and I don't have much time anymore like I used to with Skyrim. But I hope it succeeds. Microsoft needs a W after taking so many Ls recently lol

  • Game Chat - July 29
  • I think I saw Asmongold play this one. Definetly looks like it scratches the VS vibe. I'll add it to the wishlist.

  • In my case, I've been mostly playing Honkai Star Rail since the game got a new story patch. Have almost 300 tickets saved for Kafka. Other than that, I bought the dlcs for Vampire Survivors and am continuing to play zomboid with friends.

    Dragon Ball FighterZ: 100%

Pretty much half of my playtime was in training mode, the rest spent fighting against friends in 1v1. The achievements were more grindy rather than hard, especially the 20kk zeny one. I got lucky when they gave away millions of zenies for free after selling 5 million copies. I couldn't imagine doing this otherwise.

This game also got me more into fighting games. Used to play a lot of MK and Tekken back in the PS1 days, but not many after that. Can't wait for DBFZ2, whenever it comes out.

  • I think the new beta features made it a lot better. Mainly Custom instructions and the code interpreter. Using them generates much better responses.

  • Iirc the iPhone app has a speech to text function. Other than that probably better performance.

Steam Achievements for Overwatch two/Blizzard games
  • Yeah. If they were putting achievements on steam I think I would like to try to 100% all the AC games.

  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Hey there. If you're looking to find information about specific achievements, we have a link in the sidebar you can use.

Be aware, there are some games with PC-specific bugs that might require a workaround. But you could search for the game on either Xbox or PlayStation achievement websites, as they generally have more guides than Steam does.

At a glance, this one appears to be a useful guide for you.

  • If you are on windows you can open the image with the standard windows Photos app. Right click the image and there should be an option to resize the image.

    Image 1

Then select Percentage to resize while maintaining the aspect ratio. You can then drop this height or width value and/or change the image into jpg. It will show how much storage space the image will take at the bottom.

  • Resident Evil 2
  • Yeah. That's what I expected. If you take out Mr. X it kinda looks like standard RE4 gameplay which is pretty nice. But then you add him in and you'll either get too scared or too annoyed because of his mechanic. I feel like I would be in both camps.

  • Resident Evil 2
  • 👏 That was fast

I wanted to try to get into re2, but i don't think I'll enjoy the mechanic of the boss following you around :/

  • Gaming Chat Corner
  • Nice, are you going to finish all main RE games?

And it's been so long since I've played a game on uplay that I can't even remember the pop up. What's bad about it? The sound?

  • Gaming Chat Corner
  • As for myself, me and a group friends bought Divinity Original Sin 2 + Project Zomboid so i've been mainly playing these games in coop/multiplayer. I'm trying to continue Yakuza 3 as well, but it's tough to keep up with too many games.

  • Gaming Chat Corner
  • Never played burnout, was more of a need for speed kinda guy, but kudos to you. Some of the challenges on these old games felt almost impossible to beat.

  • Gaming Chat Corner

Hey everyone. I thought it would be nice to have a spot for us to share what games we're up to in general. Like, what games have been keeping you busy, achievements you're hunting for, new releases you're looking forward to, or if you're just replaying old favorites.

I'm thinking of making this a regular thing, maybe a weekly or bi-weekly chat post. Let me know what you all think.

    Helltaker: 100%

Honestly, I only started playing this game because of this soundtrack. The game itself is pretty good, short, and not too complicated to beat, but I needed to look up how to do some stuff for the achievements. The free DLC puzzles are a lot harder than the base game, and it also comes with more amazing tracks.

    Yakuza Kiwami 2: 100%

The last Yakuza game I have at 100%. The graphic quality from Kiwami to this one was a huge leap forward. Almost a rtx off vs rtx on moment. I was even surprised you could enter a lot of buildings without going through a loading screen.

The combat got way worse though. It's a pain in ass not being able to do more than 3 hit combos because every enemy just starts blocking everything. I ended up just alternating weapons and heat actions all the time.

Only achievement I had a really hard time with was the one with the

Amon group when they come at you back to back

Steam beta now has a sound for achievements, here's a video with it

    3

    Yakuza Kiwami: 100%

I began the series with Yakuza 0 on PC Game Pass. Then after finding out they were coming to steam I decided to continue the journey there. Yakuza as a franchise needs no introduction, if you've watched any gameplay video on YouTube, you know what I'm talking about.

About the game itself I really liked the combat. Tiger dropping enemies in late game never got old lol. But I did not like the race car minigame and mesuking mini game (mesuking's music was a banger though).

The achievements themselves were not too hard to obtain, but some of them required a lot of grinding. Also, the game got me hooked on mahjong. I even ended up downloading Mahjong Soul because of it.

After this one I decided to try to100% the whole series, but I'm going at it really slowly, only recently started Yakuza 3.

Edit: Lost signal when submitting and had to write the post again 🙃

    Hollow Knight: 100%

[Insert waiting for Silksong clown here lol]

But seriously, this game quickly became one of my all time favorites. Similar to the Dark Souls series, I initially gave up on this game after a few hours, only to pick it back up again a couple years later and absolutely loving it.

To me the best part of the game was the exploration. Not finding out where you are and discovering new areas and enemies, that feeling of relief when you find some singing bug, it was an unforgettable experience.

The combat mechanics are simple, but they can get pretty fun.

Nightmare King Grimm and Sisters of Battle

have become some of my favorite boss fights ever, mostly due to the rhythm and pacing of the battles.

The toughest achievements on this one for me were the Pantheon of Hallownest and the Coliseum of Fools. In the Coliseum, I died a lot in the final trial, particularly in that part with the two walls creating a tight space, no platform, spikes, and a swarm of mosquitos and maybe aspids as well. And the Pantheon... well, it's the Pantheon...

Another game that got me a very similar vibe to HK was Ori and the Will of the Wisps. I played Ori on gamepass, though, so no achievements for me. Maybe some day I'll try to play it again on steam for the 100%.

Anyway, that's it for the 1st showcase here. I'll try to post the ones I currently have every other day. Feel free to comment and post your own achievements too ^^

    Welcome to !steamachievements

Hey everyone! I realized there wasn't yet a dedicated space on Lemmy for achievement hunting. So, I decided to create !steamachievements, even though this is my first time starting a community.

I encourage you all to post about your accomplishments, ask for advice on those tricky achievements, share your journey towards 100% game completion, or offer tips to fellow members.
