Saying the quiet part out loud, with pride
  • The minimum wage in Philippines is ~$6 per day in the provincial regions (350Php). $5 per hour for 8 hours is damn well nearly a king’s ransom; equivalent to 2,200Php.

  • Don't plug random stuff into a computer to charge
  • And for fuck’s sake don’t raw dog your phone to convenient USB chargers in airplanes, airports, or other public spaces.

Yes the argument can be made that airplanes may enjoy slightly better chain-of-custody type security, but fr the number of people I see who dgaf plugging their junk into USB brothels is wild.

  • They say MacDonald's is expensive now. Are any other chains still cheap/cheaper?
  • It’s how I retain that resting heart rate of 112. I don’t even have to go to the gym anymore; I’m getting my cardio in just sitting here.

  • Regretful Wisconsin fake elector says he was tricked into signing phony document claiming Trump won in 2020
  • That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.

  • What mechanism is the source for Earth's Nitrogen?
  • Cliff notes: it came from outer space.

  • My five year old asked me what calculus is.
  • “Calculus is the horror that revolutionizes the way you perceive problems involving rates of change and you will wonder how you got along without it for so long if you put it off.”

  • Power supply for this little fella
  • It really depends on the internal tolerances. If you are familiar with basic circuitry and the use of a multimeter, you can check for initial power continuity.

Otherwise, using the correct amperage and polarity power supply will be the easiest check.

  • Power supply for this little fella
  • 1A might be too much. You’ll also need to ensure the polarity is correct. There should be a label, usually co-located with the serial number, which states the input and polarity requirements of the DC plug.

  • What kind of a gift can you give your teacher out of respect, but that doesn’t get mistaken for romance?
  • It’s a common trope, in the US at least. The gift can be different in different countries. In the Philippines other local-made snacks might be brought for teachers.

  • Where can I find the most authentic home-style ceviche (hole in the wall type place)?
  • About a decade ago CVI.CHE 105 had some damn good ceviche. It’s a good start.

  • Hey mate, any progress breaking through 60WPM?

  • Been Learning on my ZSA Moonlander, but I'm Stuck at 60WPM
  • That’s the only metric which matters! Press on for a bit and don’t sweat it.

  • Been Learning on my ZSA Moonlander, but I'm Stuck at 60WPM
  • What span of time is this? 60WPM is great tbh. I’d say focus on just using this skill for the next year and don’t tie yourself up too much worrying about your WPM. Gains after this point may come a little more slowly, and through practical applications rather than repeated type training.
