Last visit to campus was very productive. Managed to perform server upgradation for wiki.fosscell.org . hopefully this solves the latency issues while editing.

Is there any way to make the touchpad orientation follow the screen orientation on Plasma 6 under Wayland? I have a laptop, and sometimes i use it on portrait mode and i'd like the trackpad to mimic the creen orientation for ease of use. I'm on Fedora 40 KDE spin.

We migrated more apps to Qt6, made Dolphin more optimized for mobile, added many new features to Tokodon, and much more.

KUnifiedPush: KDE's efficient way of delivering notifications to your apps
KUnifiedPush, KDE's client library for the UnifiedPush protocol, has reached version 1.0.0. KUnifiedPush provides a way to deliver notifications instantly to multiple apps on your devices even if the apps are not running.
Ideal for social media, weather and instant messaging apps, it will also contribute to improving the battery life on your mobile devices.

"Speaking of accessibility, the accessibility of the main view of Dolphin was completely overhauled to make it work with screen readers. This work was funded by NGI0 Entrust Fund, a fund established by NLnet with financial support from the European Commission's Next Generation Internet programme"

Thanks KDE and @NGIZero !
We could do what I think you’ve done, and regex the details of the attachment into
! [] ()
To be clear, this pull request doesn't use regex, it's just JSON deserialisation and string interpolation.
I’ve never actually seen a Mastodon user try to add an image to something that ended up as a Lemmy comment, tbh, so it’s not something I’ve thought too much about.
The pull request actually includes one, the main KDE account tags [email protected] and includes pictures in their threads regularly. It's just hard to tell from our side as you can't see what's missing.
@thisweekinkde @[email protected] @[email protected] How can I use RSS to subscribe to the new location? I couldn't find any links on the new blog page.
@thisweekinkde @[email protected] @[email protected]
Info to email subscribers, due to move to blogs.kde.org, the need to re-subscribe "This week in Plasma.” at https://newsletter.kde.org/subscription/form.
@zombiewarrior @kde @[email protected] (Nextcloud uses OnlyOffice or Collabora Office, based on configuration.)
@kde @[email protected] Additionally, to all: if you have the means, please contribute to FOSS software you use, financially, or through bugfixing, promotion, or/and development! I do this whenever possible and it's the only way these amazing programs have been produced, and how KDE has existed since 1996!
@Bro666 @kde @[email protected] Of course - thanks for the quick response. For better or for worse, I always take everything literally and physically can't seem to do otherwise!
Long live FOSS and welcoming, creative FOSS-dev communities!
@zombiewarrior @kde @[email protected] For Nextcloud there exist the managed public instances endorsed but not owned by Nextcloud GmbH (this page is like joinmastodon.org): https://nextcloud.com/sign-up/
@zombiewarrior @kde @[email protected] Nextcloud / Owncloud / Seafile?

a) It is a story.
b) It portrays what Microsoft originally intended: to ship Recall switched on by default and the option to switch it off hidden deep in the settings. They only backed down when it blew up in their faces.
c) If you believe they will not try again, I have a nice bridge on sale you may be interested in.
@[email protected] @[email protected] is there an open source / foss alternative to o365 that you can buy, preconfigured, in the cloud?
otherwise we're going to be stuck with o365 forever, regardless of what client OS people use
@kde @[email protected] I love KDE Plasma and personally it often feels better than Windows user-experience-wise, contrary to what one might expect due to its nonprofit, community-led status. Not to mention the customisability/freedom/privacy benefits...
However, I do need to point out here that Windows Recall is (currently) opt-in only so this story would be inaccurate unless the ex installed it on the speaker's computer.
@[email protected] @[email protected] Nice. Love the design. And my regular yearly donation should also already be in. Keep up the great work!
@[email protected] @[email protected] That's a very cute fundraiser! Love it being Halloween themed haha.
@Ralzi
Better late than never!
@[email protected] @[email protected] I'm honestly so late to this =(
@[email protected] @[email protected] @gnome Something similar (hopefully using the same D-Bus interface) for GNOME planned?
@[email protected] @[email protected] Will this be part of future KDE Gear?
@crystalmoon @[email protected] @[email protected] what exactly are the fourteen other push notification frameworks for desktop Linux? I’ve literally never seen one before
