Final 'Doctor Who' 60th Anniversary Special 'The Giggle' to Air Dec. 9, 2023, and it will be the Fourteenth Doctor's final adventure.
While not much is known about the 60th anniversary finale, this last episode may ruffle the feathers of dedicated “Doctor Who” fans, according to showrunner Russell T Davies.
Since RTD is a big fan of old Who canon, I'm betting he's doubling down on the Doctor not being from Galifrey, and having at least a dozen forgotten incarnations before 1. It's technically already been canon for almost 50 years, but it's been considered a canon error for most of that time.
In the Hartnell series, his granddaughter was half human. The consistency of human and timelord has a few quirks in it, made all the more confusing as the series has progressed.
Been a while since I have seen the old Who, so I might be mistaken.

LOL, can't wait for millions of Whovian headcanons to burst into flame! Obviously, any new episode ruffles some feathers because Who fans are obsessive at best and possessive at worst, but it feels like RTD is priming people to love OR hate his take here 🤣
