A radical theory that consistently unifies gravity and quantum mechanics while preserving Einstein's classical concept of spacetime has been announced in two papers published simultaneously by UCL (University College London) physicists.

I mean, that's kind of technically correct and the headline is misleading.
Their whole point is the idea that spacetime has fluctuations which makes quantum behavior irrelevant and thus it can only be modeled classically.
The theory has also shown promising results on Alzheimer's symptoms in mice.
