Has there been a follow-up on the Majalans in SNW after episode 1x6?

I just started watching Strange New Worlds and episode 1x6 "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach" really hit me. Without spoiling, have there been any other episodes about the Majalans?

Not much time for follow ups on planets and species in 10 episodes, but hopefully the show will, like Lower Decks, start building on its own new canon instead of on what exists from other shows.
- What are the odds the crossover episode has them doing second contact?
- Thanks. I thought there a second season out already. Maybe by the end of the upcoming third season. I do like the new relationships and things I've seen so far.
  
  The season starting on Thursday is Season 2. Season 3 is currently mid-production but has halted for the writer's strike.
