Honestly I tried with a few games and I couldn't notice a difference in performance between compositor ON/OFF. Do you still disable it or do you just leave it on? I'm on an AMD RX 6750 XT.

KDE disables the compositor when fullscreen applications take precedence. I never mess with the compositor and don't really see a need to mess with the settings. Using a different kernel and setting hardware profiles to max performance will have more of an impact.
