Luxon calls NZ a 'negative, wet, whiny' country
He made the comments while talking to farmers in Helensville today.
Does negging work as an election strategy? Asking for a political party.
So strange given we are all millionaires going to be hit hard by a wealth tax, why so miserable NZ?

Asked about Luxon's comments this afternoon, Prime Minister Chris Hipkins said: "Christopher Luxon said that? I guess it makes a change that he's running New Zealand down in New Zealand as opposed to running the country down when he's overseas."
The good thing about Christopher Luxon is that he says the quiet part out loud. He's very clear about what he thinks, and what he will change if the coming election puts him in power. This is also a good thing for those opposing him, and I include myself in that number. We have to ensure that his articulated perspectives and stated aims are not obscured by the inevitable promises of lower taxes and less regulation.
My observation is that the only people in Aotearoa New Zealand who are negative, wet, whiny and inward-looking are those desperate for a National government which will save them from efforts to make us a more equal and forward-thinking country.
Luxon is genuinely devoid of any type of political nouse, isn't he? Dude just keeps putting his foot in his mouth.

I disagree that we are inward looking. It seems we are constantly looking over seas trying to compare ourselves to more established countries and then feeling sad when we come in 2nd place.
