I know it's a meme, but did nobles even ever know that Myne's aspirations are mostly limited to books and book related activities? I wonder if that's expanded in novels 🤔
If you haven't read the novels, I highly recommend them. The various noble reactions to Myne are heavily explored and deeply entertaining.
Even in the section covered by the anime, for example where Ferdinand explores her memories, the novel goes much deeper. Ferdinand is extremely clear after that that indeed she only cares about books. 😅

Yes, it's pretty explicit. They even say that Myne and books are an explosive combination, and "never get in the way between her and her books". An important noble even calls her "a book obsessed gremlin" and gets reprimanded for doing so.
In the epilogue lady Magdelena thought the only reason Roz asked for a library was to show resentment to siggy (which while partially true, isn't the complete picture).
