Property developer Tim Gurner wants unemployment to "rise to 40-50%" reminding people that "they work for the employer, not the other way around" [video, 2 min]
A millionaire property developer has slammed tradies for being too lazy and wants to see the unemployment rate rise by 40 to 50 per cent in order to see a change in the industry.

Personally, I'd like to see Tim Gurner's properties rise to a 40-50% vacancy rate to remind him that properties require people to be of any use or value.
I don't know how he thinks 40-50% unemployment rate would lead to a functional economy. If half the population can't afford to buy anything, does he really think that's going to be good for businesses? Unless he's an advocate for universal basic income, of course, but something tells me he's not...
It’s been so long since working people had much power in the employment relationship. A lot of these shit stains have never ever been told no by an employee.
They have lived an entire charmed life based on high desperation in the working class. They can’t even comprehend that we are people. We are the machines that do what they want so that they can accrue more wealth and power.
Look, I know the inflationary situation we are living in right now is not great. But you need to understand that this is as good as conditions will ever get for working people. You have leverage today that is probably once in a career level. Go get it. The ownership class is desperate. Shoot your shot.
As our landcunts (Prodigy Properties - avoid like the plague rats they are) are dragging their gold-plated feet on replacing our leaking-through-the-floor-onto-our-heads water heater, Tim Gurner can suck the shit off of my boomer taint.
And how does he expect businesses to stay afloat with half their staff? Does he believe businesses don't need labor? Unemployment at 40-50% would indicate an economy in shambles.
