Linux Mint for desktops because even as an experienced Linux user, I want a system that has a good balance been stability and having the latest packages. Plus Cinnamon is awesome.
For servers it is 100% Debian and always has been.
I'm a Linux newbie and using Mint. I kinda really want to try Manjaro but have heard that as its based on Arch there's a lot less hand holding. Which had made me a bit apprehensive in trying it out yet.
there are some users here saying that Manjaro is a distribution that should be avoided due to some bad practices. You can make your own decision though as I have no opinion.
Just curious... what about Mint wants to make you look elsewhere?
Mint has been my first long term Linux distro of choice since quitting Windows. I had heard of manjaro and wanted to try it out. I'll give endeavouros a go too.
I'd strongly advise against Manjaro. The devs are incompetent morons, resulting in it being a buggy and insecure distro. There are plenty of better options for something based on Arch, EndeavourOS is probably the best.
