- What is Hexbear? It's where r/chapotraphouse went when Reddit banned them
- Why did we care? Lately they've been sending us race scientists and totally-not-crypto-bros. Surprising for an avowedly lefty instance, but the rest are no less annoying.
- Hexbear has more than a few tankies. But mostly they're just exhausting.
- Expand a few threads on this post for more historical drama, and to see what hexbears act like on other servers.
Any links to the race science or cryptobro nonsense? I ask because that's really surprising; generally /r/cth & hexbear have had essentially the same stance on that shit as /r/sneerclub.
I've been a member of both communities for years, on and off, and I just found this lemmy instance after thinking /r/sneerclub was dead since the API change. Now I'm disappointed to learn that the lemmy versions of my favorite communities from Reddit aren't federated.
I've literally never seen any crypto or race acience stuff on hexbear? __(ツ)__/ it's your instance do what you want.
