I had made a typo in the post title (22 June instead of 23) and am pleasantly surprised to see Lemmy allows us to edit post titles too. Better than Reddit already.
Finally played real life football after years. My old group became inactive because of the pandemic. Found a new group, hoping it becomes a weekly thing. I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though I am out of touch.
When I played I realised that I was overthinking my shots and have to learn how to shoot again. It was kinda funny. I got a few assists and made some sweet passes though, I surprised myself.
The Havertz signing might cause issues between Arteta and Hale End products. Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson, Florian Balogun, and Eddie Nketiah's positions in the team are now in question. Haverts, in my opinion, is a jack of all trades but a master of none. Depending on how Havertz is played, at least half of these players will fall a place in the pecking order and might not even be on the bench for CL or PL ties. This could alienate the locker-room if Hale End products lose trust in Arteta, because the signing of Havertz on paper seems to signal that Arteta and the club might have lost trust in them. I don't know how the club and Arteta can say they have faith in the likes of Nelson, Nketiah, and Simth Rowe, but then make such a move. Strengthening the midfield, especially defensively was the key goal in the summer transfer window but what we've gone and got is a versatile striker, winger, and attacking midfielder. Get Rice, Timber, and Lavia done or else the Arsenal are in for a tough 2023/2024.
Havertz played the 8 a few times with Chelsea and he didn't have the defensive discipline to prosper in that position. I'd rather have someone like Lavia, Nelson or ESR (if he improves his defense) in that role. My point is Havertz's variability is not a positive attribute. Arsenal need an outright number 9 and an out right number 8, but this is secondary to reinforcing the midfield with the likes of Rice and Lavia.
I actually liked it. It really does dive straight into what this arc is about. It's odd but the more grounded movies in the MCU are usually my favorite ones. I loved Winter Soldier and this is one has that kind of feel to it.
Samuel L and Mendo are pretty awesome as usual...but damn Olivia Colman is delightful. Her character is like she'll probably cleave you alive while sounding like your neighborly auntie 😂
But yeah the ending of that first episode is...oh boy.
