How are people feeling about cards being a central part of the game?
I am very wary of that design choice.
Players already have a hard time keeping track of their character sheets. You know the 6+ cards they are responsible for will be lost, damaged, and so forth.
How many duplicates will there be? What happens if two players want the same character archetype / ability?
If the DM wants to check a rule, they have to look through a deck of shuffled cards instead of just turning to page 56.
Does replacing a card mean buying a whole new set? Will there be booster packs as the game evolves?
Maybe I'm the minority here, but I am very concerned about this. It's a shame because aside from the use of cards, I love everything I've seen about Daggerheart.
