Lol I feel ya. I started a cocktail community and a succulents community and Im trying to get some engagement happening so I'll comment on every post and comment and I've got a bunch of own posts planned to keep things going. It's actually kind of fun for now, but I've never moderated anything before, so I am a tad worried about what will happen if they outgrow my modding abilities. Until then, I'll just keep dancing around and promoting the communities 🙃
We are in the same boat! Im also having fun with it. It reminds me of the way I acted when I first got on the web - which was much more focused on adding things to my small website and chatting in 1 or 2 small communities. I'm liking the change of pace.
I do love succulents though so I'll sneak over there and check it out. Maybe I can contribute!
Succulent community?
I loved that one too! let's go.
So far I found https://kbin.social/m/[email protected] to have some activity, but I do love me some succulent specific sub.
Went to your profile, apparently right now you have a thread inside the "random" magazine. You'd probably want to create your own magazine so that people can suscribe, count me in to volunteer some pics of my babies to get the content going.
I'll be honest, I don't entirely know what a magazine is, but I suppose I'll have to do some research. I know people can find them ok on Midwest social since people have subscribed already. Thanks for the input though, I have a lot to learn. Here's the link: Here you go:

Literally me, I've been asking questions to get people talking and I've also been making content for people to look at and I've been commenting all over the place just so i can have discussion
sidenote: I thought I would be able to easily tell by clicking people's profiles, but apparently not all fediverse sites show the places you mod on your profile? the mysteries of the fediverse continue for me
It's not the community I'm Moderating but I've been asking questions on AskKbin, Deltarune, Omori and History and those posts are aimed to get more discussion
The Community i own tho is a subreddit for Arts, Writing, Photography, Music and Engineering which is CreateCord(i think it's on Kbin social) and it has no members yet but I'm getting people to join it and then I'll have a discussion with them over there
My zillowgonewild clone ([email protected]) has a couple hundred subscribers, but so far its been me and like 2 other people posting anything. It'll happen eventually, though.
I have no idea what actually moderating a community is like, so the limited activity is probably a blessing that I'm too naive to appreciate rn.
Thank you for your efforts. Since joining lemmy i finally realized what a hard work it is for pioneers like you to build a community. I hope it paid off soon 👍
You can also find a lot of similar stuff by image searching for 'clones' and 'photoshop clones' since a LOT of people make and post images like this when they are learning photoshop.
i haven't and don't intend to create a community bc i crumble under any tiny level of responsibility but i've been commenting on any post i have something to say on, and up/downvoting every post i see depending on the content. i've killed hours at work so far lol
