That's pretty much what every older player coming back from injury says.

An athlete saying they're "in the best shape of" their life gives me the same comfort as an old detective saying he's "a week from retirement."

I wish some athlete would come out and be like

"Nah I'm on the wrong side of thirty. At this point I'm leveraging my experience more than my physicals".
