When you’re an independent author, you are your own marketing team! And my marketing team forgot to post my weekly Late-Idenified #AuDHD: A Starter Workbook post.
@BZBrainz
I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 28. Now I'm 46, and they're testing me for autism on top of that.
I hate how clearly the system failed me. @writers@audhd@actuallyautistic

I understand your frustration. I haven't been diagnosed with anything. I remember my dad saying that it's bad to be diagnosed. I thought he meant with depression. So yes, I feel very let down.
On the other hand, if I had been diagnosed, my life would have been very different, and I am not sure it'd be for the better. Autism accommodation was unlikely to have done me much good in the 90s, when the stigma was even higher than it is today. There's no way of knowing though.

I hear you. I grew up in a very rural area in Central Switzerland. Psychology was a curse word, and people who needed it were psychos. There was never a chance for a diagnosis or treatment.
And my dad would hate this right now, but since he's passed, that's one argument I won't have to have. @audhd
