What's the best method to download your Google photos?

I’m having issues with Google takeout, it messes up the file names and thus the order of the photos.

Any tips?

The names should remain as they were uploaded, I'm pretty sure. Regardless, the metadata should contain the date taken, by which they can be ordered.
I've read about this and I'm not in a position to research it rn, but this is a "feature" of takeout. There are scripts which will fix this and I BELIEVE immich can handle this format natively.
