Excluding porn, YouTube is around 90% of my internet use. However, I must give credit to Twitter for the most accurate recommendation algorithm that almost exclusively only serves me content I'm interested in seeing and has been doing so consistently for a decade.

Good recommendation algorithms don't change the fact that the platform is owned by someone who is actively staging a coup
I don't agree with the politics of the creators of Lemmy either, yet here I am.
Fair, though that is a somewhat different scenario. I can completely disengage with .ml and still participate in other instances, and the developers don't get any support from that.
You do you, but I want to clarify that’s not really the same. You are not providing the lemmy creators any profit by using their platform like you are with twitter though.
