Sad that this season hasn’t turned out how anybody hoped, but I’m pretty psyched about how much of a lift these trades have given our farm system. Lots of hope for the future!
The reason we're getting all these top-tier prospects is that we're sending along buckets of cash in each trade. Normally trades like this are salary dumps but we're getting real value in return. I guess we won't know until 2025 whether this strategy works, though.
@OttersUp I know. I had such high hopes for the season. But injuries and just bad luck have really screwed us up. Hopefully this will be a good lesson we can’t just buy our way in the World Series. I’m excited for next season!
