Not that I support PP (also I hate that I need to specify that first) but he's got a couple videos on YouTube that I thought were fairly well done addressing a couple things regarding trade and some plans.
It's not even like he bought those on the tax payers dime, the man worked at the top of his field with generational talent, now he's running for prime minister.

I mean, if he wasn't a complete hypocrite about it, then he would also get rid of any MPs on his side that wore any expensive clothes or accessories, but he never even mentions that his sides doesn't do it, because he can't afford the possibility of bringing attention that way.
I'm not Canadian so I may miss something important, but for me the problem (and it's the same in my country) is not that he has 2000$ shoes (if they are the same shoes indeed); it's that he stages his belonging to the people, and that these shoes show the artificial nature of this staging.
