One level of artificer buys you the ability to cast cure wounds with your spellslots, and the ability to use medium armour.
They're real popular splashes.
The Spell Sniper feat gets you Eldritch Blast too :>
If you're playing Paladin, Sorcerer, or Bard, you're already leveling the most important stat for warlock, charisma.
Hexblade Warlocks also also get the ability to use their CHA bonus to swing their weapons so there's no need to put points in any physical stats

It multiclasses well, two levels for agonising repelling blast, plus a subclass feature, and then you can pick any charisma caster.
Next campaign, I want to roll a bardbarian inspired by Eddie Riggs of Brutal Legend. Stat spread would be abysmal but worth it.
